Sobre este puesto de Senior Electronic Engineer en Trimble
Drive Innovation as our Next Electronic Engineer!
Ready to make a tangible impact on global industries using cutting-edge automation?
Trimble is looking for a passionate problem-solver like you to help develop next-generation positioning, control, and automation products that connect the digital and physical worlds.
Field Systems: The Trimble Field Systems segment provides solutions to increase precision and productivity in construction tasks by empowering stakeholders to collect accurate information and manage conditions with cutting-edge technology.
Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT) is a joint venture under our Field Systems Segment here at Trimble.
CTCT develops advanced machine control, guidance, and positioning systems for the heavy construction, earthmoving, and mining industries. By combining Trimble's precision positioning technologies (like GNSS/GPS, lasers, optics, and sonics) with Caterpillar’s heavy machinery expertise, CTCT builds software and hardware that automates and optimizes equipment operations.
The core focus of CTCT is Grade Control Solutions (such as the Cat Grade 3D and Trimble Earthworks platforms). These systems give machine operators precise, real-time vertical and horizontal guidance inside the cab, allowing bulldozers, excavators, scrapers, and graders to cut, fill, and level earth to exact 3D design specifications.
What Makes This Role Great:
You will take end-to-end ownership of electrical hardware design for high-impact industrial technologies, driving concepts from early prototyping to active deployment on heavy construction and mining equipment.
Key Exciting Responsibilities:
• Design, and implement advanced electrical designs and hardware components for positioning and automation applications.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with system, controls, firmware, and software teams across multiple design and production phases.
• Lead comprehensive circuit analysis, bench testing, and design validation while establishing test plans for verification and regulatory teams.
• Oversee complete design development and drive the successful transition of completed products into manufacturing.
• Present technical design ideas, task schedules, and program updates for key program reviews.
Essential Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in electronic circuit design, testing, and circuit debugging.
• Strong written and technical communication skills to construct clear specifications, test plans, and test reports.
• Proficiency in office tools (including spreadsheets, documents, and presentation software) and exposure to PLM and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with C and C++ firmware development principles to collaborate effectively with software and firmware engineers.
Bonus Points For:
• Hands-on experience with Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), accelerometers, and gyroscopes.
