What will you be doing?
In this role you’ll be:
- Responsible for the development of Data Science models, including those leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
- Designing and implementing processes and tools that address business needs, particularly using Python, R, and SQL.
- Planning, preparing, monitoring, and documenting analyses.
- Coordinating initiatives, including stakeholder management, planning, and overseeing task execution.
- Actively participating in the development of models that support operational activities and management decision-making.
- Performing testing of system and tool changes or updates in accordance with agreed test scenarios.
- Maintaining relationships with Quantum UK, actively participating in stakeholder meetings, and presenting work results during meetings.
- Coordinating and providing subject matter support to the team, including task planning and validation of analysis quality and accuracy.
- Planning and prioritising the team's technical tasks.
- Proposing new improvements and test scripts.
- Developing and maintaining an understanding of Aviva’s organisation, processes, and IT services.
What we’re looking for?
- Higher education degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Science, data analytics, or machine learning.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience in building, deploying, and maintaining Data Science and Machine Learning models.
- Ability to independently conduct analyses and effectively present findings to business stakeholders.
- Experience working in project environments and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to plan and prioritize technical tasks effectively.
- Good command of English, enabling collaboration in an international environment.
- Experience with Generative AI, MLOps, and cloud-based environments would be considered an advantage.
