Location: Beloit, Wisconsin
Base Rate: $20.45/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM with overtime on an as needed basis based on business needs. Starting times and hours may vary depending on coverage due to report-offs and the production schedule especially during holidays. Good attendance and punctuality required.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…
As a Seasoning Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring products are seasoned to quality standards while maintaining a continuous flow of product to packaging operations. You will help drive product quality, food safety, operational efficiency, and equipment reliability through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO…
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), food safety requirements, and safety regulations.
- Maintain seasoning systems with the correct seasoning levels and ensure proper product flow.
- Monitor product quality and make adjustments to ensure compliance with QA specifications.
- Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on seasoning equipment.
- Assemble and disassemble seasoning line equipment for operation, cleaning, and changeovers.
- Perform line cleanups, changeovers, and sanitation activities, including chemical, allergen, and Kosher cleaning procedures.
- Complete documentation related to seasoning process monitoring and operational checks.
- Calibrate load cells, assist with scale calibration, and verify sensors using calibration tools.
- Perform seasoning drop tests, adjust seasoning settings, and operate equipment through operator interface panels.
- Conduct troubleshooting and corrective actions related to seasoning application and equipment performance.
- Retrieve supplies and materials from the warehouse to support production needs.
- Operate case erectors and perform sanitation of scales and drums.
- Support Research & Development activities by assisting with seasoning trials and new product testing.
- Communicate effectively with Packaging, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other team members regarding operational needs and issues.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One (1) year of manufacturing or production experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to follow GMPs, SOPs, safety procedures, and sanitation requirements.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and make minor equipment adjustments.
- Ability to accurately complete production and quality documentation.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work a 3rd-shift schedule and overtime as required.
- Demonstrated reliability, attendance, and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand continuously and walk frequently throughout the shift.
- Frequent bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements.
- Continuous use of hands and hand dexterity.
- Ability to lift:
- Up to 10 lbs. continuously
- Up to 25 lbs. frequently
- Up to 60 lbs. occasionally
Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment with elevated noise levels requiring hearing protection.
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and humid or wet conditions.
- Occasional exposure to heights, airborne particles, chemicals, outdoor weather, and temperature extremes.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)
- Experience operating seasoning, packaging, or food manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with equipment calibration, preventative maintenance, or troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of food safety, allergen controls, and sanitation processes.
- Experience supporting new product testing or manufacturing trials.
- Familiarity with automated production systems and operator interface panels.
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
