Meet the Team

As a member of the Security Features Development team, you will join the Security Features Development department within the Endpoint Solutions and Security Technologies Sub-division.

The team is responsible for the development of browser protection features, including the protected browser, the ESET browser extension and other associated technologies. Based in Bratislava, the team closely collaborates with other development teams and product management to deliver solutions integrated directly into the ESET product portfolio.

About the Role

As a QA Automation & Data Analyst, you will develop your expertise in the endpoint browser protection domain and contribute to the overall quality and success of our products.

You will act as an agile tester integrated into the development team. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain, improve and extend the existing automated test suite and develop new automated test sets for browser protection applications and features.

In addition to quality assurance activities, you will grow and participate in selected research, data-processing and data-analysis tasks. This work will support solutions that analyze website parameters and aggregates them into backend systems for security evaluation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining, improving and extending existing automated test suites for browser protection applications and features.

• Designing and implementing new automated test scenarios and test sets.

• Participating in automated and manual quality assurance activities throughout the agile software-development lifecycle.

• Collaborating closely with developers, product management and other team members to identify risks, investigate defects and ensure product quality.

• Processing, structuring and analyzing collected website-related data.

• Participating in research tasks related to data structures, data quality and suitable approaches for processing collected data.

• Developing Python scripts and tools supporting test automation and data-processing activities.

Essential Requirements

• Ideally 2+ years of experience with automated testing, quality control and quality management.

• Basic Python knowledge for scripting, testing, tooling, or automation.

• Practical experience with data processing, structures and analysis or willingness to dive into this domain.

• Working knowledge and experience with modern AI assisted development, tooling or integration.

• Intermediate English (B1) or higher.

• Analytical thinking, conceptual and systematic approach.

• Willingness to learn new things, open mind.

Desirable (nice to have) Requirements

• Practical understanding of common internet and network protocols and standards (TCP/IP, TLS, HTML, Javascript etc.).

• Basic Javascript knowledge is an advantage.

• Keen interest in browser related technologies.

• Experience with Atlassian products (Jira / Confluence) and Git.

Basic wage component (brutto): from 2700€/m. (brutto) 

* The final basic wage component can be increased accordingly to individual skills and experience of the selected candidate. 
* Performance bonus 2 times per year up to 10% of the basic salary paid for the evaluation period(usually 6 months).
