Product Manager (Interviews & Interview Assessment)

CAS Shield & Apply

📍 Location: Remote (with purpose-driven in-person meetups in London)

📝 Contract: Full-time, permanent

📅 Start Date: Immediate

💼 Reporting to: Deputy Director of CAS Shield, with a dotted line to the Deputy Director of Apply

🛂 Note: Candidates must be UK-based, have the right to work in the UK, and be able to travel to London for team meet-ups

About Enroly

At Enroly, we’re transforming the way universities recruit, assess and onboard international students. Our platforms are used by a significant share of UK higher education institutions to streamline compliance, reduce administrative burden, and improve the international student experience.

This role sits across our two core products:

  • CAS Shield — our flagship compliance and pre-CAS platform, trusted by nearly half of UK higher education institutions to manage visa readiness, credibility and onboarding at scale.

  • Apply — our application and admissions product, where institutions, agents and applicants come together at the very start of the student journey.

Enroly was recently acquired by Ecctis, the UK’s leading authority on international qualifications and skills benchmarking. Ecctis delivers essential services including qualification evaluation, recognition frameworks, and global consulting to governments, education providers, and employers. Together, we’re building a future-proofed approach to student recruitment and enrolment, backed by unparalleled data, insight, and capability.

The Role

We’re looking for a Product Manager to own Interviews and Interview Assessment across CAS Shield and Apply.

This is not a backlog-management role. You will be expected to define the product direction, make strategic trade-offs and establish how interviewing and assessment should work across Enroly's products.

Interviewing is one of the highest-stakes moments in the international student journey. Institutions use it to establish credibility, assess English language ability, and make admissions and compliance decisions that carry real regulatory weight. Applicants experience it on a mobile phone, often on a poor connection, in a different time zone, and frequently as their first direct interaction with the university.

Your job is to make that experience work — fair, credible, defensible and genuinely usable at scale. You’ll own the roadmap for asynchronous and live interviewing, assessment and scoring, and the integrity and proctoring capabilities that sit around them. This is a build-and-scale role: parts of this space are new, and you’ll be shaping direction as much as delivering against it.

This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, can balance applicant experience against institutional and regulatory needs, and is excited to define a product area rather than inherit one.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and drive the product roadmap for Interviews and Interview Assessment across both CAS Shield and Apply, aligned with Enroly’s company strategy.

  • Define the interviewing model: asynchronous and live formats, question design and banks, scoring rubrics, reviewer workflows, and assessment outputs institutions can act on and defend.

  • Own integrity and proctoring: identity verification, fraud and impersonation signals, AI-assisted detection, and the balance between assurance and a humane applicant experience.

  • Lead the mobile-first applicant experience — video capture, low-bandwidth resilience, accessibility, and drop-off reduction across devices and geographies.

  • Make the case for AI where it genuinely helps — transcription, summarisation, scoring support, anomaly detection — while keeping humans accountable for decisions.

  • Ensure interviews and assessment work coherently across two products, with a consistent experience for applicants and clear ownership boundaries internally.

  • Work directly with university admissions and compliance teams, agents, applicants and internal stakeholders to understand how interviews are created, completed, reviewed and used in admissions and compliance decisions.

  • Lead product discovery — Conduct discovery across the full interview lifecycle, including interview creation, applicant completion, assessment, reviewer workflows and institutional decision-making.

  • Work day-to-day with a dedicated squad: writing and refining user stories, managing backlogs, setting acceptance criteria, and collaborating closely with developers and QA.

  • Prioritise and execute improvements, from bug triage and fixes to new feature delivery, based on business impact and user feedback.

  • Post-launch analysis: track usage, completion and assessment quality, gather feedback, and use data to continuously iterate.

  • Champion compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g. UKVI credibility expectations, data protection, auditability) in product decisions and design.

  • Be the internal advocate for interviewing at Enroly, aligning teams around shared goals and user outcomes.

What Success Looks Like

  • High applicant completion rates and a demonstrably better interview experience, particularly on mobile.

  • Institutions trust the assessment output enough to make decisions on it — and can defend those decisions.

  • Interview integrity is measurably strong, with fraud and impersonation risk reduced without punishing genuine applicants.

  • Meaningful reduction in manual reviewer effort per interview.

  • Interviewing works as one coherent capability across CAS Shield and Apply.

  • Efficient prioritisation and execution of improvements and fixes.

  • Alignment with wider business and regulatory goals.

Who You’ll Work With

  • Product team: PMs, Designers, Solutions, Integrations

  • Tech team: Developers, QA — including mobile and AI/ML capability

  • Wider Enroly teams: Customer Success Managers, Compliance, Services, Marketing

  • Clients: university admissions and compliance teams, agent partners, and applicants

Challenges You’ll Tackle

  • Building a high-stakes, high-scrutiny product area where getting it wrong has real consequences for applicants and institutions.

  • Balancing integrity and assurance against applicant experience and completion.

  • Delivering a reliable video and mobile experience across highly variable devices, networks and geographies.

  • Serving two products with different lifecycles, users and delivery rhythms.

  • Working in an environment with limited resources and many competing voices.

  • Balancing short-term fixes with strategic improvements.

  • Navigating complex stakeholder landscapes in the education sector.

  • A growing team, evolving processes, and a high bar for quality.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • 3–4 years of experience in B2B SaaS product management.

  • Hands-on product experience in at least one of: asynchronous or video interviewing, remote proctoring or online assessment, identity verification, or another integrity-critical product area.

  • Experience delivering mobile or mobile-web products, with a real understanding of the constraints — device fragmentation, media capture, bandwidth, permissions, accessibility.

  • Strong execution skills: product discovery, prioritisation, delivery.

  • Fluency with qualitative and quantitative data.

  • Confident in internal and external stakeholder management, with strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to lead a squad and drive cross-functional collaboration.

  • Comfortable owning a product area where decisions must be fair, explainable and auditable.

  • Resilient under pressure, able to handle ambiguity and competing priorities.

  • Experience with bug triage, prioritisation and analysis.

Bonus

  • EdTech or UK Higher Education (UKHE) experience.

  • Experience with assessment design, scoring rubrics or psychometrics.

  • Experience shipping AI or ML features into a product where accuracy and explainability matter.

  • Exposure to regulated or compliance-driven environments (UKVI, safeguarding, data protection).

  • Experience owning a product area spanning more than one product or platform.

What You’ll Gain

  • Ownership of a new, strategically important product area from the front.

  • Ongoing support to grow your product management skills.

  • Deeper industry knowledge in EdTech and the UKHE landscape.

  • Opportunity to shape a high-impact product in a growing, mission-driven company.

  • Competitive remuneration and benefits package.
