Workplace Platform team

The Workplace Platform Team act as a key technology partner for Microsoft 365 collaboration capabilities, productivity platforms, governance, adoption and secure digital solutions across the organisation:

• Lead and support Microsoft 365 collaboration, productivity, automation and employee experience use cases.
• Partner with IT product owners and platform teams to ensure standards are followed across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot, security, compliance and collaboration platforms.
• Support innovation, adoption and governance across Microsoft 365, Power Platform and Copilot capabilities.
• Maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, IT architecture, security, service operations, vendors and Microsoft 365 delivery teams.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of IT - Workplace, you will provide hands-on architecture, governance and engineering leadership for governed business-led services built on Microsoft Power Platform. The role will shape how Dyson enables secure, scalable and supportable use of Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI integration and Copilot Studio, while ensuring strong environment strategy, connector governance, lifecycle controls, operational support and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be a senior Power Platform architect with practical experience establishing guardrails that allow business makers to innovate safely. You will translate business demand into governed patterns, design standards, ALM approaches and reusable services, working closely with business teams, architects, security, data, integration, service operations, product owners and Microsoft 365 delivery teams.

About you

• 10+ years of experience across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, digital workplace, collaboration platforms, application architecture or enterprise IT solutions.
• Deep hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse, including solution design, data modelling, security roles, environment configuration, service limits, licensing considerations and operational support patterns.
• Proven ability to define and operate a Power Platform environment strategy, including default environment controls, development, test, production and business unit environments, Dataverse for Teams considerations, naming standards, access models and decommissioning processes.
• Strong understanding of connector governance, data loss prevention policies, custom connectors, on-premises data gateways, Microsoft Graph integration and secure connectivity patterns across Microsoft 365, Azure and enterprise data sources.
• Experience designing Power BI integration patterns with Power Platform solutions, including controlled data access, Dataverse reporting, embedded analytics considerations and alignment with enterprise data governance standards.
• Experience with Copilot Studio or conversational AI solutions, including governance of topics, connectors, authentication, data access, publishing controls and responsible adoption across business-led use cases.
• Strong application lifecycle management experience for Power Platform, including solution packaging, managed and unmanaged solutions, source control, pipelines, release governance, testing, documentation and rollback patterns.
• Ability to establish maker enablement and Center of Excellence practices, including standards, reusable templates, training, solution assessment, adoption monitoring, risk review, support pathways and community engagement.
• Ability to design secure, scalable and supportable solutions, documenting HLD/LLD, operational runbooks, design standards and decision records.
• Strong scripting and automation capability using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Power Platform administration modules, Azure PowerShell or Azure CLI, with experience automating repeatable governance and operational tasks.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams, external vendors, security, architecture, product, data, integration and application delivery teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain governance, risk and technical topics clearly to both business makers and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications / certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert or equivalent Power Platform architecture, governance and delivery experience.
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate, Power Platform App Maker Associate or Power Platform Developer Associate would be beneficial.
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or equivalent experience integrating Power BI with Power Platform and Dataverse solutions.
• Microsoft 365, Azure governance, security, identity, data integration or automation certifications would be beneficial.
• TOGAF, ITIL, Agile delivery, product management or Center of Excellence leadership certification is beneficial.
