About the role
The Performance Unit (PU) Digital Separation Lead will play a critical role in supporting the Castrol Separation Programme, ensuring successful Day 1 readiness and delivery of TSA (Transitional Service Agreement) Exit activities across the Performance Unit.
Acting as the primary liaison between the PU and central Digital governance teams, the role will ensure that central programme activities and local market requirements are effectively aligned, integrated, and delivered. The successful candidate will drive business readiness, minimise operational disruption, and ensure that customer, regulatory, and business requirements are fully represented throughout the separation journey.
What you will deliver
- Serve as the primary interface between the PU and the Digital Separation Management Office (SMO) and Transition Management Office (TMO).
- Coordinate and oversee Day 1 readiness activities across all markets within the PU.
- Ensure local business requirements, operational processes, regulatory obligations, and customer considerations are incorporated into separation planning and execution.
- Monitor readiness progress and resolve issues that may impact Day 1 operations.
- Act as the PU Digital lead for TSA Exit activities.
- Coordinate PU participation in TSA Exit planning, readiness assessments, and execution activities.
- Ensure local risks, dependencies, operational constraints, and business requirements are reflected in TSA Exit plans.
- Support the transition of services, applications, infrastructure, processes, and support models to future-state solutions.
- Identify and bring up risks that could impact TSA Exit turning points, business continuity, or customer operations.
- Act as the key liaison between the PU and central programme governance teams, including the SMO, TMO, PMO, and TSA Exit Programme.
- Drive alignment between programme workstreams and PU priorities.
- Coordinate decision-making, issue resolution, and action tracking across stakeholders.
- Represent PU interests in governance forums and provide visibility of readiness, risks, dependencies, and key decisions.\Coordinate Digital readiness activities across all PU markets.
- Drive engagement with PU leadership, country managers, and functional teams.
- Support the delivery of organisational change, communication, training, and adoption activities.
- Identify organisational and operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation plans. Assess potential impacts on customers, distributors, supply chains, and commercial operations.
- Develop and coordinate mitigation plans to minimise disruption. Coordinate PU participation in testing and validation activities.
- Ensure User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is completed for impacted applications and services.
- Facilitate resolution of market-specific issues, defects, and process gaps.
- Identify, track, and handle PU-specific risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Proactively address risks impacting Day 1 readiness, TSA Exit, customer operations, or business continuity.
What you will need to be successful
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in, Information Technology, Business Management, Project Management, Organisational Change or related field
- Professional certifications such as: PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP (Project Management
- Professional), MSP (Managing Successful Programmes)
- Consistent track record in leading and delivering complex business, digital, or transformation programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple levels of the organisation.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in a global or multi-market environment.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk management, business readiness, and operational change..
- Understanding of Castrol business operations and market structures.
- Proven track record to coordinate large-scale transformation, separation, integration, or business change initiatives.
- Experience working across multiple countries, functions, and cultures.
- Strong stakeholder management experience across business and digital organisations.
- Experience operating in complex, fast-paced programmes with significant business impact.
- Ability to understand complex business, operational, and digital challenges.
- Balances programme objectives with business priorities and customer needs.
- Translates complex programme issues into clear business impacts and actions
- Drives alignment across multiple teams and geographies (dependent on PU)
- Creates momentum and accountability in ambitious environments.
- Identifies risks and dependencies early.
- Maintains focus on customer and operational continuity throughout transition activities.
- Ensures business-critical processes remain protected during change.
