Four Seasons is currently looking for Pastry Cook 3.
Essential function of the job:
Reporting to the Pastry Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
- Stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
- Develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
- Display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
- Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
- Other duties to be assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
- We are looking for an individual who is passionate about cuisine!
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are required in this position.
- The line cook works together with other team members on a daily basis to ensure a flawlessly executed final product and the ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors is required.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- The cook position is required to operate, maintain and properly clean the kitchen equipment, such as broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, and oven.
- Proficient knife skills are also required.
- Position also requires continuous standing for up to 8 hrs per shift and the ability to lift up to 70lbs.
- The ideal candidate would have a combination of a culinary degree and work experience or the equivalent work experience in a full service fine dining restaurant, if no culinary degree has been obtained.
- Previous luxury hospitality culinary experience preferred
- Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Must be flexible with schedule – Able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Must provide work authorization document - proof of eligibility to work in the United States of America.
