Part Time After School Nanny – New York, NY

A welcoming family in New York, NY (Central Harlem) 10030 is seeking an engaging, responsible caregiver to provide after-school care for their two children, ages 6 and 9. This position involves navigating the subway to bring the kids home safely after school, providing supervision, and keeping them entertained with fun and creative activities. This is a non-smoking household with no pets.

Schedule:

• Monday: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
• Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• Thursday: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
• Total Hours: 8.5 hours per week

Family Specifications:

• The household consists of two lower-school-aged children (6 and 9 years old) with no special needs or allergies.
• The family values someone who can engage the children in creative, fun ways at home and comfortably navigate public transit.
• Non-smoking home environment with no pets.

Responsibilities:

• Pick both children up from school (Columbus Circle) and safely accompany them home via the subway.
• Transport children to and from additional locations on specific days as needed.
• Engage the children at home with fun, creative, and age-appropriate activities.
• Ensure general safety and supervision during the after-school routine.

Requirements:

• Proven experience babysitting two children of different ages simultaneously, ideally within the lower school age group (6–9 years old).
• Comfortable and confident navigating the New York City subway system with children.
• Must be reliable and punctual for daily school pick-ups.

Compensation:

• $33.00-$35.00 per hour
• Subway fare/reimbursement provided
