Job Title:

Organizational Change Management Specialist

Reporting To:

Corporate IT OCM Manager (Interim)

Work Schedule:

Hybrid – Buffalo, NY

Our Corporate IT team is looking for an Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist to join our growing change management practice. You will report to the Corporate IT OCM Manager and work within a hybrid environment in East Aurora, NY.

As an OCM Specialist, you will work alongside experienced change practitioners, project teams, leaders, and stakeholders across Corporate IT to help employees understand, prepare for, adopt, and sustain changes to technology and ways of working.

You will contribute to change efforts across a diverse portfolio of IT initiatives, with opportunities to progressively take ownership of change activities and right-sized initiatives as your capability grows. You will learn through a combination of hands-on experience, coaching, observation, and increasingly independent execution.

To be considered for the Organizational Change Management Corporate Specialist role, here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Communications, Information Systems, Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Experience supporting organizational change, communications, stakeholder engagement, project delivery, business analysis, learning, process improvement, or another related discipline.

  • Understanding of foundational organizational change management concepts and the role OCM plays in successful project delivery.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, audience-appropriate messages.

  • Ability to build productive working relationships across different teams, functions, and levels of the organization.

  • Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.

  • Comfort asking questions, seeking feedback, and working through situations where the answer may not immediately be clear.

  • Ability to recognize potential issues, gather relevant information, and begin developing recommendations rather than simply escalating problems.

  • Interest in developing the ability to connect change management activities, adoption measures, and behavior change to broader project and business outcomes.

  • Willingness to learn different OCM disciplines and contribute beyond a single specialty area.

  • Change management certification or designation such as ACMP/CCMP, Prosci, or equivalent training is preferred but not required.

As an Organizational Change Management Specialist, you will:

  • Partner with OCM Lead, project managers, and business stakeholders to understand project objectives, intended business outcomes, and how proposed changes may affect employees and their work.

  • Conduct and contribute to change impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, readiness assessments, change risk assessments, and adoption planning.

  • Help translate project information into clear, meaningful communications and engagement activities for impacted audiences.

  • Support stakeholder engagement through interviews, workshops, focus groups, feedback sessions, and other opportunities to understand the employee experience.

  • Identify emerging risks, questions, stakeholder concerns, or resistance and raise them early with context and potential recommendations.

  • Build relationships with project teams, employees, leaders, and other stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and trust.

  • Support change champions, people leaders, and sponsors with the information and resources they need to help others navigate change.

  • Maintain clear visibility into assigned work, commitments, risks, dependencies, and changing priorities.

  • Apply established OCM tools and frameworks while learning how to adapt the approach based on the size, complexity, audience, and needs of each initiative.

  • Capture lessons learned, reusable practices, and stakeholder insights that can strengthen future change efforts.

  • Participate actively in coaching, peer learning, and development opportunities designed to build broader OCM capability.

  • As experience and capability grow, take increasing ownership of change strategy and execution for appropriately scoped initiatives.

How We Care for You:

  • Financial Rewards: great compensation package, annual profit sharing, matching 401k, and the ability to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts

  • Work/Life Balance: Flexible paid time off, holidays and parental leave program, relocation assistance.

  • Health & Welfare: Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, Employee Assistance Plan (“EAP”) and other supplemental benefit coverages.
