Job Overview

• Position Title: Medical Records Assistant

• Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Data Management: Organize, maintain, and accurately update digital and physical patient medical records.

• Compliance & Privacy: Safeguard patient confidentiality by strictly adhering to HIPAA regulations and facility policies.

• Processing Requests: Efficiently process authorized requests for medical records from patients, physicians, and insurance companies.

• Quality Auditing: Audit charts routinely to ensure complete, accurate, and timely documentation by clinical staff.

• Administrative Support: Scanning, indexing, and filing documents into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology preferred).

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working in medical records, health administration, or a similar clinical front-office setting.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Knowledge Base: Familiarity with medical terminology and standard record-keeping practices.

• Core Strengths: Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and excellent verbal communication.
