Manager, Service: Healthcare – Financial Services (Americas)
Job Summary
GLG is seeking a Client Solutions Manager (Manager, Healthcare) to lead client servicing and relationship management for a portfolio of healthcare-focused financial services clients, including hedge funds, mutual funds, and other institutional investors specializing in biopharma, medtech, and healthcare services.
This role sits within the Financial Services segment and is focused on high-value, healthcare-specialized accounts, requiring deep engagement with complex, content-driven workflows (e.g., clinical diligence, pipeline analysis, competitive intelligence).
A Healthcare Manager is responsible for scoping, designing, and executing primary research engagements, while serving as a trusted thought partner to clients. This includes ownership of key client relationships, delivering tailored insight solutions, and driving innovation across a range of engagement types—from rapid consultation workflows to more in-depth, multi-format research solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Relationship Ownership & Account Management
- Own and manage a book of large healthcare-specialized client accounts, serving as a strategic partner across investment teams
- Build deep relationships with healthcare investors (e.g., analysts, PMs) by understanding:
- Therapeutic focus areas (e.g., oncology, CNS, immunology)
- Portfolio companies and pipelines
- Key upcoming catalysts (e.g., clinical readouts, FDA decisions, major conferences)
- Proactively track client interests, preferences, and workflows to inform outreach and engagement strategy
- Drive best-in-class client engagement through a mix of in-person meetings, calls, and day-to-day execution
2. Driving Client Experience & Commercial Growth
- Deliver world-class client service, defined by responsiveness, insight, professionalism, and execution excellence
- Identify opportunities to expand client engagement and cross-sell broader GLG offerings
- Partner with leadership and business development to:
- Develop and execute account growth strategies
- Drive revenue expansion and client retention
- Track account performance and continuously refine engagement strategy to optimize outcomes
3. Team Leadership & Development
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members through active performance management and day-to-day guidance
- Serve as a role model for excellence in healthcare client servicing and project execution
- Contribute to team development by sharing best practices in healthcare coverage, expert sourcing, and client engagement
4. Risk Management & Compliance
- Exercise strong judgment in adhering to GLG’s policies and procedures, particularly in the context of:
- Material non-public information (MNPI)
- Clinical and regulatory sensitivities
- Ensure the integrity and compliance of all client engagements
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a healthcare subject
- 2–4+ years of experience in a client-facing role, ideally with exposure to healthcare or financial services clients
- Strong interest in or familiarity with the healthcare sector (biopharma, clinical development, or healthcare services preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proven track record of relationship ownership and client service excellence
- Exceptional communication skills, including comfort engaging senior healthcare professionals and investors
- Strong analytical mindset and demonstrated ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members

Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
