Sobre este puesto de Manager, Sales Development en Maven AGI
Maven AGI sits at the center of the hottest intersection in tech right now: AI and customer experience. While most "AI support" tools still focus on FAQs and deflection, Maven's agents actually do the work — autonomously interacting with customers, personalizing the conversation, and resolving complex issues, not just providing information.
That's not a soft ROI story. It's the most direct cost-displacement case in enterprise software today: real human work, replaced, at a fraction of the cost — not "savings if you use it well," but savings because the agent did the ticket instead of a person. That's the pitch you get to walk into every enterprise deal with.
Founded in 2023 by executives from HubSpot, Google, and Stripe, Maven builds conversational AI agents that don't just answer customers — they act: going into a customer's account, finding the actual problem, and fixing it, with no human required. Customers like Dell, ServPro, Hard Rock, Tripadvisor, Clio, and Thumbtack rely on Maven, with customers reporting resolution of 70–93% of interactions autonomously. G2 has also named Maven a High Performer and Best Meets Requirements across multiple categories.
Position Overview
As Manager, Sales Development at Maven AGI, you will lead, coach, and develop a growing team of SDRs responsible for creating pipeline across our enterprise sales organization. Reporting to our Head of Sales Development, you'll be a hands-on frontline leader who is close to the work: coaching calls, improving messaging and prospecting, inspecting performance, developing reps, and creating the operating rhythm that helps the team consistently deliver.
We're looking for a true player-coach rather than a purely strategic leader. You'll help SDRs become stronger sellers, build repeatable habits, and progress in their careers, while partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to execute against Maven's broader go-to-market strategy.
This is an opportunity to join at an exciting stage of growth, with the SDR organization expanding alongside the business and significant opportunity to help shape how the team operates and scales.
*This role is based in our Boston, MA (Back Bay) office and is full-time in-office.
What You'll Do
Lead, coach, and develop a team of SDRs, providing consistent feedback, mentorship, and hands-on support to improve individual and team performance
Establish strong day-to-day operating rhythms around prospecting, call coaching, pipeline creation, performance management, and accountability
Coach reps on messaging, discovery, objection handling, account research, personalization, and multi-channel prospecting
Build a high-performance culture grounded in curiosity, competitiveness, continuous learning, and shared accountability
Help SDRs develop the skills and business acumen necessary to grow into future closing and broader sales roles
Drive execution against team KPIs and pipeline goals, using data to identify trends, diagnose gaps, and improve performance
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to translate Maven's ICP, account strategy, and go-to-market priorities into effective SDR execution
Help the team execute thoughtful, account-based prospecting into larger enterprise and strategic accounts
Continuously test and improve prospecting approaches, messaging, workflows, and team processes
Ensure strong CRM hygiene, lead and account management, and effective handoffs between SDRs and Account Executives
Leverage AI and modern sales technology to make the team more effective and efficient, while encouraging experimentation with new tools and workflows
Support onboarding, ramp, training, and ongoing enablement as the SDR organization continues to grow
Who You Are
You have 5+ years of B2B sales experience, including meaningful experience leading, coaching, or managing SDR/BDR teams
You have a track record of developing early-career sales talent and helping reps improve performance and progress in their careers
You understand what great frontline sales execution looks like and are excited to stay close to the work rather than managing from a distance
You have experience prospecting into larger enterprise accounts and understand thoughtful, account-based selling motions
You are highly organized and comfortable creating structure, operating rhythms, and accountability in a fast-moving environment
You are metrics-oriented and know how to use data to diagnose performance, coach effectively, and make better decisions
You are fluent in modern sales technology and excited about using AI to improve how sales teams work. Experience with tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, LeadIQ, Nooks, Gong, Granola, or similar platforms is a plus
You bring curiosity, competitive drive, and a strong learning orientation, and you look for ways to continually improve yourself and the people around you
You thrive in an early-stage environment where processes are still evolving and you're expected to roll up your sleeves and help build
Previous experience as an Account Executive or in another closing role is strongly preferred, particularly if you've made the progression from SDR/BDR into closing and then into sales leadership
