The Learning Experience Designer (LXD) creates engaging training solutions that help clients improve learners’ skills and performance. This client-facing role uses instructional design and content-development expertise to support training projects. Working with senior team members, project managers, subject-matter experts, and clients, the LXD develops high-quality learning materials for instructor-led, virtual, blended, and digital programs. The role focuses mainly on training services while building familiarity with the company’s learning SaaS platform, AI tools, and Integrated Learning Ecosystem (ILE) approach.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Design and Development
- Design and develop learning solutions using established instructional design methodologies, such as ADDIE, SAM, or comparable approaches.
- Create engaging, learner-centered content such as instructor-led training materials, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, eLearning, videos, job aids, assessments, and performance-support resources.
- Apply adult-learning principles and digital-first design practices to create innovative and effective blended learning experiences.
- Translate approved learning objectives, content outlines, and subject-matter-expert input into clear, accurate, and visually effective learning materials.
- Use established templates, design standards, and content-development processes to ensure deliverables are consistent and high quality.
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback while helping maintain alignment to learning objectives, design standards, scope, and project requirements.
- Support learning evaluation, including the development of assessments, surveys, feedback mechanisms, or other measures of learner response and performance.
Client and Stakeholder Support
- Participate in client-facing meetings, discovery sessions, design reviews, and working sessions with appropriate support from senior team members.
- Assist with needs analysis by gathering, organizing, and documenting information about learners, business needs, performance gaps, and desired outcomes.
- Communicate professionally and consultatively with clients, SMEs, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare meeting materials, design concepts, project updates, and draft recommendations for review, and support training events, as needed.
Project Delivery and Quality
- Execute assigned project tasks reliably and independently, meeting established deadlines, quality expectations, and delivery requirements.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including content inventories, design documents, review logs, version-control records, and task status updates.
- Identify potential risks, content gaps, timeline concerns, or dependency issues and escalate them to the appropriate project lead.
- Conduct self-review and peer-review activities to ensure deliverables meet quality, accessibility, brand, and usability standards.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, LXDs, Senior LXDs, Lead LXDs, creative partners, product teams, and client stakeholders.
- Contribute ideas that improve learning assets, development workflows, templates, or team delivery practices.
Learning Technology and ILE Awareness
- Develop working awareness of the company’s SaaS platform, including its core capabilities, learning use cases, and product roadmap.
- ·Build foundational familiarity with LMS/LXP concepts, learning-platform administration, and learner-experience considerations.
- Support the development of learning solutions that may incorporate both training services and learning technology.
- Apply established design frameworks for integrated learning solutions with the guidance of senior team members.
- Stay informed about emerging learning practices, instructional technologies, and digital-content approaches that may improve learning outcomes.
- Develop knowledge in at least one target industry vertical, such as Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or Hospitality.
- Build awareness of relevant operational, regulatory, and compliance considerations that affect training content and delivery, as well as learner needs.
- Apply industry and client context when designing learning materials and making content recommendations.
- Research assigned topics and synthesize information into clear, audience-appropriate learning content.
Key Skills:
- Strong writing, editing, communication, organization, project-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills, including an ability to manage multiple priorities, incorporate feedback, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, client-service environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, learning and development, education, communications, organizational development, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Two or more years of experience in instructional design, corporate learning, training content development, education, enablement, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to design and develop learning materials for instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, blended, and performance-support formats.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, agency-style environment, balancing multiple workstreams to deliver all with excellence.
- Working knowledge of adult-learning principles, instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE and SAM, and learning evaluation practices.
- Experience using learning-content authoring, presentation, visual-design, video, collaboration, and other content-development tools; experience with LMS/LXP platforms is preferred.

Salary Range: $70,000 - 85,000 annually
