About your role
As a Lead Product Onboarding Manager at Juniper Square, you will independently own the end-to-end onboarding experience for our largest and most strategic customers, with a particular focus on transforming investment data for our platform. You’ll become a trusted resource for clients, providing expert guidance on data migration, mapping, and optimization, often interpreting complex legal agreements and fund structures across private equity, venture capital, commercial real estate, private credit, and other alternative investments.
You’ll not only execute onboarding projects but also drive process and tool innovation, mentor other Product Onboarding Managers, and serve as a go-to resource for the most challenging data transformation scenarios. Your work will ensure that customers are set up for long-term success on Juniper Square, with data structured to maximize the platform’s value.
What you’ll do
Independently own communication with senior and executive customer stakeholders, and lead negotiation of scope and timeline changes.
Review, analyze, interpret, and transform complex financial datasets for import into the Juniper Square platform.
Advise our largest and most strategic customers — including those with decentralized global organizations and complex, unbuilt system integrations — on optimal data structures for both immediate onboarding needs and long-term platform performance.
Serve as the senior escalation point for our most complex or highest-risk onboarding engagements, including direct resolution with customer leadership.
Identify, scope, and lead initiatives that drive systemic change — process automation, tooling improvements, or structural changes to how the team operates — and own a major component of the team's service model end-to-end.
Delegate work to and coach junior Product Onboarding Managers on advanced prioritization, risk assessment, and quality-review technique.
Build strategic partnerships with cross-functional leaders across Project Management, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to deliver a cohesive customer experience. Build and maintain AI-supported workflows for recurring onboarding activities (data mapping playbooks, migration status reports, escalation summaries, customer handoff docs) so output is consistent and reusable across accounts.
Build scalable AI workflows that transform processes and automate work across the team, extending your impact past your own customer work.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in fields leveraging complex financial data (investment banking, management consulting, private markets operations, or related areas).
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Proven success independently owning executive-level customer relationships and scope negotiations for enterprise or global accounts with complex regulatory or structural requirements.
Experience designing and deploying AI workflows spanning multiple tools or data sources with measurable outcomes.
Track record identifying and resolving data-quality risk at scale, including experience providing secondary quality review of others' work.
Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel, with experience managing and manipulating complex datasets.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to influence and guide customer decisions, including at the executive level.
Comfort working in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.
Experience with scripting languages and data management tools (SQL, Python, R) preferred.
Experience overseeing the work of an internal project team; overseeing technical work delegated to others, providing quality-assurance oversight, and holding members accountable to timeline commitments.
