Responsibilities

• Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Know Your Customer (KYC), and Know Your Business (KYB) reviews for new client onboarding in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform periodic KYC/KYB reviews and ongoing due diligence for existing clients, ensuring customer information and records remain accurate and up to date.
• Review customer documentation, identify discrepancies or missing information, and escalate issues where appropriate.
• Review and investigate transaction monitoring alerts, analysing customer activities and transactional behaviour to identify unusual or potentially suspicious activity.
• Conduct sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening and investigate potential matches in accordance with internal procedures.
• Escalate suspicious activities to the AML Compliance team and support the preparation of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs/SARs) where required.
• Engage with internal stakeholders, including Compliance, Operations, Risk, Product, Technology, and Business teams, to facilitate the timely resolution of AML cases.
• Ensure onboarding, periodic review, and transaction monitoring cases are completed within established SLAs while maintaining high quality standards.
• Maintain accurate client records, investigation notes, and case documentation within internal compliance systems.
• Respond to internal stakeholder queries in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner.
• Support AML Compliance initiatives, operational improvement projects, AI and automation initiatives, system enhancements, and other ad hoc assignments.
• Stay up to date with AML/CFT regulations, internal policies, sanctions requirements, and operational best practices.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Law, Economics, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in AML Operations, Transaction Monitoring, KYC/KYB, Financial Crime Compliance, or Client Onboarding.
• Good understanding of AML/CFT regulations, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity reporting.
• Experience investigating transaction monitoring alerts or AML cases is preferred.
• Strong analytical, investigative, organisational, and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with AML case management, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, or compliance systems is an advantage.
• Open to adopting AI-enabled tools, automation, and emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency.
• Experience in fintech, digital assets, payments, or financial services is an advantage.
• ACAMS, ICA, or equivalent AML certification is an advantage.
