Knowledge Officer - CDI

Join our Luxembourg Knowledge Management team and help lawyers access reliable, well-structured and up-to-date legal knowledge. In this role, you will combine legal monitoring, research support, the evaluation, testing and implementation of AI-powered legal research and knowledge management tools, knowledge database management, taxonomy/thesaurus work and user training to improve how legal knowledge is captured, found and (re-)used across the office. 

Your role:

As a Knowledge Officer, you will report to our Knowledge Management department. Your responsibilities will be varied and will include, among others:

• Managing the internal documentation database, including creating queries and new pages, following up on technical issues with an external provider, creating thematic and legislative files, and managing or updating the database structure;
• Monitoring legal developments and processing legal information, including new legislation and amendments;
• Conducting legal research on legislation, case law, legal doctrine, articles and other relevant sources;
• Contributing to the administration and optimization of SharePoint-based knowledge repositories to ensure efficient access to legal information and know-how resources;
• Updating and improving the local thesaurus;
• Training new joiners and users on the use of the databases and new functionalities;
• Managing newsletters and sending alerts;
• Monitoring developments in artificial intelligence and legal technology, and contributing to the testing, evaluation, implementation and optimization of AI-enabled solutions for legal research and knowledge sharing;
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of information systems, documentation products and communication tools;
• Updating procedures, user guides and training materials.

Your profile:

• You have a background in information management/library science and/or law or a related field; initial professional experience, particularly in a legal environment, would be an asset;
• You have an interest in new technologies, latest AI developments; good knowledge of document management, monitoring and other information tools and technologies, including SharePoint.
• You have a good command of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.);
• You are fluent in French and in English; Luxembourgish and/or German is considered an asset
• You have strong organizational, planning and analytical skills and are able to take initiative;
• You are organized, detail-oriented, responsive and comfortable managing several tasks simultaneously;
• You are curious, eager to learn and keen to develop.
