Position Summary
Modena Health is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Part-Time / Contract IT Support Specialist to provide day-to-day technical support for employees across our growing healthcare organization. This role will serve as a primary point of contact for routine IT questions and troubleshooting, helping employees resolve hardware, software, account access, connectivity, and technology-related issues efficiently.
The ideal candidate is comfortable supporting users remotely, communicating technical information in an approachable way, and independently resolving common help-desk issues while escalating more complex concerns when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee IT questions and technical support requests.
- Troubleshoot common hardware, software, internet connectivity, printer, peripheral, and workstation issues.
- Assist employees with account access, password resets, login issues, and basic user administration.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, and Excel.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding technology needs, including account setup, equipment coordination, and access changes.
- Set up and configure laptops, monitors, printers, and other employee technology as needed.
- Provide remote technical support to employees across multiple clinic and corporate locations.
- Document recurring issues, resolutions, and basic IT procedures.
- Maintain an organized inventory of company-issued technology and equipment.
- Assist with software installation, updates, and basic device maintenance.
- Escalate cybersecurity, network, infrastructure, or advanced technical issues to appropriate vendors or IT partners.
- Help identify opportunities to improve IT processes, documentation, and employee self-service resources.
- Follow company privacy, security, and confidentiality requirements when supporting systems containing sensitive information.
- Perform other technology-related projects and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of IT help-desk, desktop support, technical support, or related experience preferred.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Windows-based computers and common business hardware.
- Experience troubleshooting user-access, software, hardware, and connectivity issues.
- Strong customer-service and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or distributed environment.
- Healthcare IT experience is helpful but not required.
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Microsoft Teams and Outlook
- User account provisioning and deprovisioning
- Laptop and workstation setup
- Device and asset management
- Help-desk or ticketing systems
- Healthcare technology environments
- HIPAA-related privacy and security practices
- Basic cybersecurity troubleshooting
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic, if applicable, for extended periods; occasionally lift objects up to 25 lbs., bend, stoop, or reach as needed. Frequent use of hands and fingers for patient care and equipment operation. Must have normal (or corrected) vision and hearing and be able to respond quickly in a fast-paced clinical environment, if applicable.
