Travel: May include up to 20% domestic and international travel
As the Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) Manager – you will provide leadership and governance for IFM services supporting Solventum manufacturing, production, laboratory, warehouse, and other operational facilities across North America and EMEA and the non-manufacturing facilities. This role drives consistent IFM standards, supplier performance, reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, and serves as a key interface between Site Operations teams and third-party IFM service providers.
IFM Governance & Service Provider Management
Lead the IFM governance model across assigned manufacturing and operational facilities and establish consistent standards, processes, service-delivery expectations, SLAs, KPIs, and performance-management practices.
Serve as the primary governance interface with third-party IFM service providers and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and Statements of Work (SOWs).
Partner with Site operations leaders to evaluate supplier performance, staffing, technical capability, safety, service quality, and operational effectiveness.
Lead supplier performance reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), including corrective actions and escalation of systemic performance issues.
Partner with Procurement and Site operations leaders on contract changes, renewals, benchmarking, commercial performance, and continuous-improvement opportunities.
Manufacturing Facilities, Reliability & CMMS related to the IFM scope of work
Drive consistent preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance practices based on asset criticality and operational risk.
Provide governance for CMMS processes, including asset data, preventive maintenance, work-order management, and performance reporting.
Monitor maintenance and reliability KPIs, identify cross-site trends, and facilitate root-cause analysis and corrective actions for significant or recurring failures.
Leverage CMMS, BAS, analytics, IoT, and predictive technologies to improve asset reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
Support identification and mitigation of infrastructure risks, single points of failure, equipment obsolescence, and capacity constraints that could impact manufacturing continuity.
EHS, Quality & Compliance
Establish expectations for IFM providers and contractors regarding Solventum safety requirements, permitting, contractor safety, and site procedures.
Support audit readiness and resolution of systemic or recurring facilities-related compliance issues.
Financial Governance & Operational Excellence
Partner with Site operations leaders, who retain ownership and accountability for site facilities operating budgets and service delivery.
Provide portfolio-level financial analytics, benchmarking, and reporting to identify cost trends, financial leakage, service inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.
Drive cost optimization across the network while protecting safety, compliance, reliability, product quality, and manufacturing continuity.
Develop standardized IFM processes, performance dashboards, and reporting; benchmark site performance and facilitate sharing of best practices.
Identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, predictive analytics, energy efficiency, sustainability, and productivity improvement.
Support business continuity and risk-management strategies for critical facilities and utility infrastructure.
Your Skills and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree or higher and 10+ years of facilities management, engineering, manufacturing infrastructure, or related experience; OR High School Diploma/GED and 14+ years of directly related experience.
8+ years of facilities experience within manufacturing, medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or other technically complex environments.
Demonstrated experience with Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) and outsourced facilities service providers.
Strong understanding of manufacturing facility infrastructure, utilities, maintenance, reliability, and critical building systems.
Experience governing service-provider contracts, SOWs, SLAs, KPIs, and performance.
Experience with CMMS, preventive/predictive maintenance, asset management, and facilities performance analytics.
Strong understanding of EHS, regulatory compliance, facility risk, and business continuity.
Demonstrated ability to influence site teams and service providers across a geographically dispersed, matrixed organization.
Additional Qualifications
Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Facilities, or related discipline.
Experience within a large medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or advanced manufacturing organization.
Experience managing or governing large-scale outsourced IFM programs and GMP cleanroom, laboratory, controlled environments, or validated utilities.
Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance, predictive maintenance, asset criticality, CMMS/IWMS, BAS, IoT, and predictive analytics.
Strong financial, commercial, contract, supplier-management, communication, stakeholder-influence, change-management, and continuous-improvement skills.
