We are seeking an experienced Hardware Engineering Lead to lead the design, development, validation, and delivery of advanced electronics hardware solutions. This role combines strong technical expertise with engineering leadership, requiring the ability to guide hardware teams while remaining deeply involved in architecture, design reviews, component selection, validation, and product development.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-speed digital, FPGA-based, mixed-signal, and embedded hardware design, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams. The role also requires strong customer-facing skills and the ability to provide technical guidance throughout the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the electronics hardware engineering team, providing technical direction and support.
- Drive the architecture, design, development, and validation of electronic circuits, PCBs, and embedded hardware systems.
- Design high-speed digital architectures involving microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs, and 1553 interfaces.
- Develop FPGA-based system architectures using Xilinx, Altera, or Actel devices and relevant development tools and IPs.
- Work on mixed-signal architectures involving DACs, ADCs, buffers, transceivers, LDOs, POLs, 1553 components, microprocessors, and microcontrollers.
- Apply knowledge of protocols such as USB, Gigabit Ethernet, PCIe, RS232, and 1553 to system design.
- Drive hardware architecture decisions while ensuring compliance with applicable industry and regulatory standards.
- Conduct design reviews, technical assessments, risk analysis, failure analysis, and design validation.
- Collaborate closely with software, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and other engineering teams for successful product integration.
- Evaluate component selection, tolerances, performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Manage engineering schedules, resources, technical deliverables, and project priorities.
- Evaluate and coordinate with component suppliers and manufacturing partners.
- Support product testing and certification activities, including EMC, ESS, and other relevant qualification processes.
- Work directly with customers on technical matters and provide engineering support throughout program execution.
- Stay informed about emerging electronics technologies, design methodologies, and industry trends.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 10+ years of experience in electronics hardware design and development.
- BE/B.Tech or M.Tech qualification in Electronics/Electronics & Communication Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong expertise in high-speed digital hardware architecture and embedded electronics.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGA-based systems, and 1553 interfaces.
- Strong understanding of Xilinx, Altera, or Actel FPGA platforms, tools, and IP integration.
- Practical knowledge of mixed-signal design and components including ADCs, DACs, transceivers, buffers, LDOs, and POLs.
- Good understanding of communication protocols including USB, GbE, PCIe, RS232, and 1553.
- Experience with PCB development, hardware validation, testing, and product certification.
- Strong understanding of component selection, tolerances, performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams and provide hands-on technical mentorship.
- Strong planning, organization, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence in customer-facing technical discussions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and business functions while driving programs toward high-quality, on-time delivery.
