Overall Summary of the role:
The Group Account Director leads and manages a team of Account Directors and Account Managers, focusing on the strategic growth and operational excellence of a portfolio of client accounts.
This role is responsible for fostering strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and retention, and driving financial performance within established budgets. The Group Account Director contributes to the development of client strategies, identifies opportunities for growth, and implements process improvements to enhance service delivery. They also play a key role in mentoring and developing their team, setting performance expectations, and providing guidance on client communication and project management.
While operating with some autonomy, the Group Account Director collaborates with senior management and professionals to implement policies and strategies, improve processes, and introduce innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Leadership & Strategy:
- Contributes to the development of client strategies and identifies opportunities for growth within existing accounts
- Client Relationship Management:
- Manages relationships with key client contacts. Ensures client satisfaction and retention.
- Team Management & Development:
- Manages and mentors a team of Account Directors and Account Managers. Provides guidance on client communication, project management, and team development.
- Financial Management:
- Monitors the financial performance of their client accounts.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensures efficient and effective delivery of services to their clients. Identifies and implements process improvements
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of prior experience.
- Experience managing client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Strong understanding of agency processes and procedures.
- Experience in developing and implementing client service strategies
- Skills:
- Client Relationship Management: Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Communication & Interpersonal: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial principles and experience managing budgets and monitoring financial performance.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve client issues effectively.
- Team Management: Ability to lead and motivate a team of account managers and executives.
- Process Improvement: Experience identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
