Sobre este puesto de General Manager - Arboras en Space Inch
We are looking for a General Manager for our Nashville-based client Arboras - a high-growth two-sided marketplace connecting nursery suppliers to landscapers. The company also operates a local stockyard to manage select inventory directly and is building a repeatable model designed for expansion into additional regional markets.
Arboras seeks an entrepreneurial, well-rounded General Manager (GM) to professionalize operations, build internal systems, and help develop a scalable business model. Initially, the founder will continue to lead sales, key accounts, and grower relationships while the GM focuses on finance, CRM, reporting, systems, and day-to-day execution.
Extensive horticultural knowledge is not required. The GM will enter a structured transitional period alongside the founder to learn the complete Arboras model — including sales, sourcing, pricing, plant material, procurement, fulfillment, customer relationships, and logistics. Responsibility and authority will expand as knowledge and competency develop.
Long term, this role is intended to grow beyond internal operations. Once the GM understands the business and helps establish a repeatable operating and sales system, the opportunity includes taking greater ownership of sales leadership, team development, and ultimately helping launch and lead Arboras in new regional markets.
Candidates who don't reside in the Nashville area won't be taken into consideration.
Requirements
- Experience: 3–4+ years in operations, finance, sales, logistics, startup management, marketplace operations, business management, or a related field.
- Core Skills: Strong organizational ability, business and financial literacy, comfort with CRM and technology, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Mindset: Proactive, entrepreneurial problem-solver with strong communication and relationship-building skills, commercial instincts, and the ability to learn quickly and grow into broader leadership.
- Bonus: Background in landscaping, agriculture, logistics, distribution, sales, or multi-location businesses is helpful, but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Finance & Reporting: Oversee financial reporting and accounting coordination, including invoicing, AP/AR, cash flow, margins, and performance tracking.
- Systems & Processes: Build and maintain CRM tools, reporting systems, SOPs, and accountability processes that make the business easier to manage and scale.
- Operations & Technology: Coordinate order fulfillment, logistics, stockyard visibility, and internal technology while improving day-to-day execution and efficiency.
- Sales & Commercial Development: Learn the Arboras sales process alongside the founder and help build a repeatable sales and account-management system, with the opportunity to take increasing ownership as the role develops.
- Growth & Market Expansion: Help create a model that can be replicated beyond Nashville and, as experience and responsibility grow, participate in and potentially lead new-market launches, team development, strategic partnerships, and future expansion.
