Job Summary
Set up, test, and analyze test results of motors/systems to Agency specifications as well as assist with updating and fabrication of automated test equipment in an ISO 17025 Accredited Test Lab.Job Description
Responsibilities:
Perform automated and manual tests on electric motors to determine proper design and function.
Assist with lab maintenance that includes calibrating test equipment and organizing lab stations to 6S standards.
Prepare thermocouple wire for applications to motors (roll, strip, and weld)
Attach thermocouple wire to motors to measure temperature
Unbox and check motors into the lab
Lift motors (up to 50 pounds) and secure them in a test fixture for testing
Requirements:
Associate’s degree in Engineering, completed or in process, or 2 years related experience with electrical mechanical devices
Desire to learn new processes and systems
Ability to make spreadsheets and graphs
Work as a supportive team member
Familiarity and ability to effectively use electronic test equipment – multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
Good hands-on skills such as soldering and mechanical assembly
Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
Good communication skills. (written and verbal)
Strong technical and problem-solving skills
