Shape Quality Excellence as a Quality Documentation Engineer

Join us as a Quality Documentation Engineer in Irungattukottai, Chennai, and play a key role in delivering high-quality documentation that supports successful project execution and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will prepare critical quality documents, ensure compliance with customer specifications and international standards, and collaborate with internal teams and customers to drive timely project delivery. Your expertise will help maintain quality, traceability, and compliance across a wide range of products and testing requirements.
Your responsibilities
- You will prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) based on customer and project requirements, ensuring alignment with applicable codes and standards.
- You will develop NDE and welding procedures and respond to customer queries related to quality documentation.
- You will collaborate with NDE Level III personnel when specialized technical input is required.
- You will manage documentation within the document management system and ensure effective handover to internal stakeholders.
- You will support customer satisfaction and project delivery by ensuring quality documents are completed accurately and on time.
Expectations for you
- You hold at least 1 year of experience in quality documentation, quality control, or a related engineering function.
- You have knowledge of ASTM, ASME, ISO, API, and other relevant industry standards.
- You understand customer specifications, identification and traceability requirements, and quality documentation processes.
- You have knowledge of NDE methods, welding techniques, material testing, and raw material manufacturing processes.
- You are familiar with factory acceptance testing, including hydrostatic, seat leak, functional, cryogenic, flow, and gas testing.

You will need to accurately interpret customer specifications, maintain documentation quality, and effectively coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders.
