We're hiring a Jr. Engineer to join our Engineering Team!

Assists in the trouble shooting and engineering analysis support for NPI and sustaining engineering projects using engineering principles such as solid and fluid mechanics.

Plan and draft test protocols with both in-house and third-party personnel, design test fixtures, and help carry out laboratory testing. Analyzing data/results and incorporating them into design and development activities.

Documentation and technical writing support with Change Orders, Temporary deviations, Work Instructions, and Best Practice Manuals.

Support implementation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and project specifications.

Assists in the evaluation of field and warranty issues, recommends and drives design modifications to eliminate product and process weaknesses.

Conducts all assignments under ISO and Stage Gate processes.

SUMMARY

This position provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers by providing technical support, under guidance, for research, planning, designing, and testing of mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Design support for products and systems using 3D modeling in SolidWorks. Drafting support in 2D CAD, including analyzing tolerances and reviewing vendor process capability.
  • Assists in the trouble shooting and engineering analysis support for NPI and sustaining engineering projects using engineering principles such as solid and fluid mechanics.
  • Plan and draft test protocols with both in-house and third-party personnel, design test fixtures, and help carry out laboratory testing. Analyzing data/results and incorporating them into design and development activities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

COMPUTER AND OTHER SKILLS

Proficiency in 3D solid modeling, 2D drafting, and MS Office.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to comprehend and apply principles of calculus, modern algebra, and statistical theory.
