Job Title - Electronics Engineer In-Service Electrical - Submarines

Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Electronic Engineer to join our In Service Electrical Department at Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby. The In-Service Electrical Department supports the Reactor Control and Instrumentation, Power Systems and Plant Sensors equipment across the UK.
What you will be doing
- You will be reviewing and agreeing high level electrical requirements including their testability.
- Analysing and translating high level requirements into a validated design for the electrical component.
- Designing and implementing electrical designs to meet the high level requirements and design constraints/standards.
- Analysing electrical designs for functional behaviour, including modelling and simulation to demonstrate that the design meets the high level requirements
- Participating and supporting capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for the department, in conjunction with the department managers.
- Developing, implementing, documents, and maintains policies, procedures, associated guidelines, tools and training as required.

- Working knowledge of domain plant and platform interfaces, component technology and behaviour during normal and abnormal operation, verification vehicles, electrical design, system architecture, development process constraints.
- Able to research application issues and products band. Capable seeking solutions/information from outside of immediate area, including suppliers, universities, customers, related industries
- Able to train people to improve the capability of the business within a specific area of the business and deliver training material where required.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold a minimum of an Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the Business conducts and the protection of certain assets a person has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non ITAR country.
