Te Tūranga – About the role
As our eCommerce Digital Specialist, you’ll play an integral role in turning business needs into practical digital solutions. Reporting to the eCommerce Digital Manager, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals and build valuable hands-on experience in the fast-moving world of eCommerce
To achieve this, some of what you’ll do is:

Own and triage digital enhancement requests from New World, PAK’nSAVE, Four Square and other business units, using commercial and operational judgement to identify the highest-value opportunities.

Partner with IT Product Owners to evaluate and prioritise requests, balancing customer value, commercial outcomes, operational impact and delivery effort.

Track digital initiatives against timelines, objectives and expected outcomes, while providing clear and timely updates to stakeholders.

Maintain the governance framework and knowledge base for eCommerce capabilities, helping stakeholders understand functionality, priorities and delivery trade-offs.

Build hands-on capability in Dynamic Yield and support the eCommerce Digital Manager with planning, delivery and reporting.

You’ll bring sound judgement, strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across both business and technology teams. Comfortable managing competing priorities, you’ll know how to turn business needs into practical solutions and keep effort focused on the opportunities that deliver the greatest value.
Ideally, you will have:

Experience in eCommerce, digital, technology, product, operations or a similar environment.

The ability to assess competing requests and balance customer value, operational impact, business benefit and delivery effort.

Excellent planning, written and verbal communication skills.

Confidence working independently, managing priorities and making decisions within agreed governance frameworks.

Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
-
Experience using platforms or tools such as GA4, Looker Studio or content management systems considered advantageous.
