We’re looking for passionate, empathetic Support Workers with a positive, can-do attitude to join our vibrant Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) Lifestyles team on a permanent part-time basis. If you’re motivated by making a real difference and helping people live full, self-directed lives, this role is for you.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you’ll support people with disability to build independence, actively drive their own goals and decisions, and actively participate in their community. Backed by an experienced, supportive team who truly understand the role, you’ll work 1:1 with clients in the community 

Some examples of activities our clients love participating in are:

  • Creative expression through different mediums such as art, cooking and gardening

  • Music and performance, including live events and our Choir program

  • Health and wellbeing activities such as hydrotherapy, gym sessions and outdoor activities

  • Community events like Laughing Yoga and social outings

You’ll be joining one of two programs in the region, both led by passionate Service Managers and Coordinators who have hands-on experience supporting clients. While you’ll work independently with clients, you’ll never feel alone — you’ll be supported by a collaborative, values-driven team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering person-centred programs across arts, music, health and fitness

  • Supporting clients with personal care, mealtimes, transfers and medication

  • Accompanying clients to community access activities including social, recreational and sport events

  • Providing transport support using CPA vehicles or your own vehicle as required

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Availability 3–5 days per week (including flexible hours and some weekends) Program 1: shifts between 7am–10pm; Program 2: shifts typically between 8am–4pm

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Empathy, patience and a genuine commitment to supporting people with disability

  • Ability to work independently while being a strong team player

  • Flexibility to work across services, locations and programs

  • Hobbies, skills or passions you’re excited to share with clients

  • A valid driver’s licence (P2 or Full NSW DL)
