What You'll do

The Director, Patient Advocacy, for Hypoparathyroidism leads the development and execution of Calcilytix’s patient advocacy strategy in support of clinical development and commercialization, while safeguarding long-term patient trust and community relationships.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Patient Advocacy for Calcilytix, this role drives engagement across the International Hypoparathyroidism community, ensuring community insights inform company strategy and decision-making.  The Director oversees external international partnerships and educational initiatives, strengthening meaningful outreach across the region.

As a strategic cross-functional partner, this leader collaborates with clinical development, medical affairs, commercial, and market access teams to integrate authentic patient perspectives into planning and execution.  The role also champions a patient-focused culture within the international organization by elevating international community insights and ensuring regional perspectives inform strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive international patient advocacy and engagement strategy aligned with the Calcilytix hypoparathyroidism portfolio, ensuring patient and community insights meaningfully inform clinical development and commercialization planning.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to international advocacy organizations, establishing and strengthening compliant, long-term relationships built on trust, transparency, and alignment.
  • Integrate the patient voice across the product lifecycle, determining the appropriate timing and approach for engagement activities (e.g., advisory boards, patient organization summits, surveys, protocol input, patient-facing materials, community initiatives) in alignment with key development milestones.
  • Translate community insights into actionable guidance for cross-functional partners, including clinical development, medical affairs, regulatory, and commercial teams.
  • Support launch readiness and post-marketing activities, ensuring patient needs, access considerations, and real-world experiences meaningfully inform planning and execution.
  • Lead strategic planning and oversight of advocacy-related budgets, including grants, sponsorships, advisory engagements, and educational initiatives.
  • Champion a patient-centered culture across the international organization by embedding the voice of international patients and caregivers into internal communications, programming, and regional initiatives.
  • Maintain expertise in relevant healthcare policy and industry regulations governing patient advocacy engagement and ensure compliant execution of all external activities.
  • Demonstrate strong executive presence and leadership, serving as a trusted advisor internally and externally while representing Calcilytix within the hypoparathyroidism community.

The above job description documents the general nature and level of work but is not intended to be an exhaustive list of activities, duties, and responsibilities required of job incumbents. Therefore, job incumbents are expected to perform all other duties as assigned or required, as training and experience allow.

Where You’ll Work
