Sobre este puesto de Director, Internal Communcations en Aspen Dental

Aspen Dental · Presencial · Chicago, Illinois

The Aspen Group (TAG) is one of the largest and most trusted retail healthcare business support organizations in the U.S. and has supported over 23,000 healthcare professionals and team members at more than 1,300 health and wellness offices across 48 states in four distinct categories: dental care, urgent care, medical aesthetics, and animal health. Working in partnership with independent practice owners and clinicians, the team is united by a single purpose: to prove that healthcare can be better and smarter for everyone. TAG provides a comprehensive suite of centralized business support services that power the impact of five consumer-facing businesses: Aspen Dental, ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers, WellNow Urgent Care, Chapter Aesthetic Studio, and Lovet Pet Health Care. Each brand has access to a deep community of experts, tools and resources to grow their practices, and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality consumer healthcare experiences at scale.

As a reflection of our current needs and planned growth we are very pleased to offer an opportunity to join our dedicated team as Director, Internal Communications (Field and Center) supporting the ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers brand. For over 15 years, ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers has provided innovative and quality dental implant care to patients across the UnitedStates. Each center is focused on the same mission—to provide quality dental implant treatment for people who are looking for a long-termsolution to chronic dental issues. ClearChoice Holdings is a provider in practice management services to a network of affiliated same-day dental implantcenters. ClearChoice provides administrative and non-clinical services to dental implant centers, a network of doctor owned and operated dentaltreatment centers providing dental implant care (similar to ADMI/TAG). In 2022 we received "Top 150 Places to Work" by the Denver Post.

The Director of Internal Communications (Field & Center) serves as the senior communications partner to ClearChoice Operations leadership, helping translate business priorities into clear, compelling communications that drive understanding, alignment and action across Field and Center teams.

This role is responsible for the communications experience of our operational audiences, not simply communications originating from the Operations function. Whether an initiative comes from Operations, Marketing, Finance, HR, Patient Financing or another part of the business, this leader will ensure the information reaching Field and Center teams is timely, relevant, actionable and designed around the needs of the people receiving it.

Working closely with the COO, senior Operations leaders and the VP of Internal Communications, the Director will provide strategic counsel, develop integrated communication plans, lead change and business communications, and ensure strong day-to-day execution. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with a highly responsive, hands-on approach and a strong service mindset. This is a role for someone who can see around corners, simplify complexity, move quickly when the business requires it and build trusted relationships with leaders across a fast-moving organization.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Communications & Counsel

  • Serve as the primary communications partner to the COO, SVP of Operations and other senior Operations leaders, developing a deep understanding of ClearChoice’s business priorities, performance and Field/Center environment, and support President/CEO communications as needed.
  • Translate business priorities, operational initiatives and organizational changes into clear communications strategies that drive understanding, alignment and action.
  • Provide proactive counsel to leaders on what, when and how to communicate, identifying emerging needs, risks and opportunities before being asked.
  • Build trusted partnerships across Operations, HR, Marketing, Finance, Clinical and other functions to ensure communications reflect the needs of the business and its audiences.

Field & Center Communications

  • Own communications strategy and execution for ClearChoice Field and Center audiences, regardless of which business function originates the message.
  • Create audience-first communications that make it clear what is changing, why it matters, what teams need to know or do, and when.
  • Establish effective communication rhythms and channels while maintaining the flexibility to respond quickly to changing business priorities.
  • Partner closely with Clinical Communications and the broader Communications COE to ensure messages are coordinated and reinforce one another.

Change, Planning & Execution

  • Lead communications for organizational change, operational initiatives and other business-critical priorities, tailoring the level of support to the needs of the audience and business.
  • Play a leadership role in conference/event planning, from narrative development and oversight to presentation and content development
  • Develop practical, actionable communications (leader messaging, emails, talking points, presentations, FAQs) that make it easy for leaders and teams to act.
  • Own timelines, approvals and follow-up, anticipating dependencies and ensuring communications are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, moving quickly and simplifying the approach when the business requires it.

Insights & Team Leadership

  • Use engagement data, audience feedback and business insights to measure comms effectiveness and continuously improve content, channels, cadence and approach.
  • Regularly bring Operations leaders recommendations on what is working, what isn't and where communications can improve.
  • Lead and develop the Manager, Internal Communications – Field & Center, establishing clear priorities and accountability while supporting professional growth.

How You’ll Work

The strongest candidate will bring a service-oriented and highly accountable mindset to the role. You will be expected to:

  • Anticipate. Stay close to the business, understand what matters to your audiences, and identify communications needs, risks and opportunities before being asked.
  • Simplify. Turn complexity into clear, actionable communications and make it easy for leaders and teams to understand what they need to know and do.
  • Move. Work with urgency and adaptability, knowing when a comprehensive strategy is needed -- and when the business simply needs a strong recommendation and fast execution.
  • Own. Take accountability from strategy through execution, proactively managing details, deadlines and stakeholders to ensure commitments are delivered.

What Success Looks Like

  • The COO and Operations leadership team view Communications as a trusted, proactive partner that helps them move the business forward.
  • Field and Center teams receive clearer, more coordinated and more actionable communications.
  • Business-critical communications move faster with fewer handoffs and less back-and-forth.
  • Leaders have confidence that communications commitments, timelines and follow-up will be managed reliably.
  • Communications decisions are increasingly informed by engagement data and audience insights.
  • Operational and clinical communications feel connected rather than siloed.
  • The Communications team spends less time reacting to requests and more time anticipating and solving business needs.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive internal communications, corporate communications, change communications or related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a trusted communications advisor to senior executives and operational leaders.
  • Experience supporting distributed, frontline or multi-location workforces; healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business issues into clear, concise and actionable communications.
  • Strong understanding of change communications and how communications can influence adoption, behavior and business outcomes.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and message-development skills.
  • Strong executive presence and judgment, with the confidence to challenge assumptions, recommend different approaches and provide candid counsel.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, work quickly and deliver reliably in a fast-moving environment.
  • A proactive, highly organized working style with strong ownership and follow-through.
  • Experience using communications analytics and employee insights to improve strategy and execution.
  • Experience managing and developing team members.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
