We are looking for an experienced Last Mile Delivery Support Agent (DSA) who will focus on handling customer and driver inquiries, both reactively and proactively, to ensure smooth last-mile deliveries.
This multiskilled role involves monitoring active deliveries, resolving issues through various channels and contributing to process improvements. Your focus will be on effective communication, deadline management and adapting to the dynamic demands of the Last Mile delivery environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Efficiently manage inbound inquiries and queries from customers and drivers through diverse channels, including phone calls, chat and ticketing systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimise delivery routes, ensuring cost-effective and timely last-mile logistics.
- Utilise Transport Management Systems to monitor and track active deliveries, taking a proactive stance to identify and address potential issues.
- Handle real-time support for drivers on delivery routes, fostering a collaborative environment for successful last-mile operations.
- Investigate and resolve delivery-related issues promptly, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance the efficiency of the last-mile delivery process.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline communication and resolve issues promptly.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in last-mile logistics to contribute innovative ideas to the team.
- Adapt to evolving demands, demonstrating flexibility in responsibilities and tasks within the dynamic last-mile logistics environment.
- Flag any/all technical issues that impact the last mile service with the relevant department.
- Perform ad hoc tasks that are not nested within the scope of Delivery Support but, assist the greater last mile team.
- Proactively manage the expectations of internal and external parties.
This job is for you if you have:
- Previous experience in a customer service or logistics role
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both customers and drivers
- Comfortable working with various communication channels, including phone calls, chat and ticketing systems.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities efficiently.
