About the role
AGL’s Credit Data & Governance team have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Data Insights Analyst.
Based in Melbourne, you’ll turn complex data into actionable insights that improve credit and collections decisions, payment outcomes and support for customers.
You’ll investigate changes in customer and debt performance, identify trends and root causes and help to translate insights into practical actions to achieve real commercial and customer outcomes.
What you’ll do:
- Develop scalable analytics, reporting assets, data pipelines and automated solutions that support reliable and repeatable business insights
- Analyse customer, collections and debt performance to identify trends, risks, opportunities and underlying drivers
- Translate business questions into analytical solutions using exploratory analysis, segmentation, modelling and statistical techniques
- Evaluate initiatives and track their impact on debt, payment, customer and operational outcomes
- Partner with Credit & Affordability stakeholders to turn analytical findings into practical recommendations
- Maintain strong data quality, governance, documentation and analytical standards across reporting and data assets
What you’ll bring:
- Demonstrated SQL skills with experience extracting, transforming and analysing large and complex datasets
- Proficiency in Python, R or an equivalent analytics language
- Experience developing clear and effective data visualisations using Power BI or a similar platform
- Analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to identify root causes and turn complex information into actionable insights
- Stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences
- A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and deliver measurable outcomes
- Experience in credit risk, collections, customer analytics, energy or banking will be highly regarded
