Core Speech Software Engineer

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Core Speech Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Developing internal tools for use by teams both developing and supporting our AI medical note generation and speech recognition software

• Working closely with NLP, NLU, and AI teams to produce training data and quality reports

• Helping with deployment automation and cloud resource management

• Serving in an on-call rotation to support internal products for our stakeholders

• Supporting speech recognition and working to improve recognition quality

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND one year related experience  

• High School Diploma/GED from AND four years related experience

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• Experience with data pipelines and processing

• Web development experience

• Proficiency with at least one programming language (Kotlin or Python preferred)

• Experience with creating data reports and analyzing large, noisy datasets

• Experience with a cloud computing platform (such as AWS)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience with speech recognition and AI processing of dictation and conversational audio

• Background in linguistics (particularly phonetics) or medical transcription

• Expertise in Kotlin, Python, Golang, Typescript, Django, Angular, Ktor, Node, Terraform, regex

• Effective communicator and comfort with presenting to groups

Work location: Ireland (candidate must be based in Ireland)

Work type: Remote

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic or international

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
