Content Creator
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid, 3x Week In-Office)
Reporting to: Social Media Manager
Department: Social / Brand (Marketing)
Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000
Type: Full-Time, Salaried
About the Role
We’re looking for a Social Media Content Creator to join our fast-paced social team and help bring Bubble to life across TikTok and Instagram, and YouTube.
This role is for someone who lives and breathes social — someone who can spot a trend before it peaks, turn a simple product moment into scroll-stopping content, and move from concept to camera to final edit quickly. This is a hands-on content creation and execution role. You’ll be responsible for taking an established social strategy and turning it into high-quality, engaging content — from filming and editing to adapting creative for different platforms and formats.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of what makes content feel native to TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube shorts, has a sharp eye for beauty and visual storytelling, and isn’t afraid to get in front of the camera when needed.
What You’ll Do
- Execute against the strategic social calendar developed by the Social Media Manager, translating creative briefs and content concepts into compelling, platform-native social content.
- Own the day-to-day production of social content, ensuring assets are filmed, edited, and delivered on time.
- Work within established brand guidelines, creative direction, and social strategy
- Work efficiently within tight timelines and shifting priorities.
- Take social concepts from initial ideas through final edit.
- Film high-quality content using iphone and other camera setups
- Edit short-form video using tools such as CapCut, Figma, Adobe, or similar platforms for both organic and paid social media usage
- Add text overlays, captions, transitions, sound effects, music, and other editing elements optimized for social.
- Adapt existing creative assets into platform-native content.
- Maintain a strong understanding of current TikTok and Instagram trends, editing styles, and best practices.
Execute Paid Media Creative
- Execute creative briefs for paid social and digital media, recognizing that paid creative may require a different approach than organic social content.
- Create assets based on specific paid media objectives, formats, messaging, and platform requirements.
- Adapt organic concepts into paid creative and vice versa when appropriate.
- Follow provided creative direction, messaging, specifications, and timelines for paid campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and relevant marketing partners to deliver paid assets on deadline.
Collaborate Across the Team
- Partner closely with the Social Media Manager to develop and execute the content strategy.
- Collaborate with creators, influencers, models, photographers, and other members of the creative team.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Brand, PR, Product, and other teams to support launches and campaigns.
- Take feedback quickly and efficiently while maintaining a strong creative POV.
- Be prepared to work occasional weekends, evenings, or shifted hours when required for events, shoots, launches, or timely social moments.
Stay Ahead of Social Culture
- Constantly monitor TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms for trends and opportunities.
- Identify trends that are relevant to Bubble and find creative ways to make them feel uniquely on-brand.
- Understand the difference between a trend worth participating in and one that feels forced or outdated.
- Stay current on beauty, skincare, Gen Z culture, creators, internet trends, and competitor activity.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience creating social content, preferably for a beauty, skincare, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer brand.
- A strong portfolio of TikTok, Instagram, short form video content, and aesthetic carousels
- Deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram culture and what makes content perform organically.
- Strong video editing skills, particularly in CapCut, Figma, or similar editing software.
- Strong understanding of pacing, hooks, transitions, storytelling, and retention.
- Comfortable filming with a phone and creating high-quality content in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong creative instincts and the ability to come up with ideas quickly.
- Excellent visual eye and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently while also taking direction and feedback.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Passionate about beauty, skincare, social media, and internet culture.
- Comfortable being flexible and adapting quickly as trends, priorities, and social platforms change.
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You…
- Are chronically online and genuinely understand internet culture.
- Can explain why a piece of content works, not just that it “looks good.”
- See a trending TikTok and immediately start thinking about how to make it work for Bubble.
- Can turn around a strong video quickly without sacrificing quality.
- Have a strong point of view but know when to listen and adapt.
- Are comfortable getting scrappy and creating with whatever is available.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on an in-house social or brand team.
- Beauty/skincare industry experience.
- Experience creating content featuring products, creators, or talent.
- On-camera experience.
- Photography and basic understanding of good vs bad lighting
