The Global Delivery Centre (GDC) in Gurugram is ERM’s global operating backbone. It delivers business enablement services in Finance, HR, IT, and Commercial Operations to ensure ERM’s global business runs seamlessly, efficiently, and consistently.

Why this role matters?
As a Master Data Specialist, you will support ERM's global delivery by ensuring critical master data is accurate, trusted, governed, and aligned to enterprise standards across key business systems. Working within the Enterprise Data team, you will partner closely with Commercial, Finance, HR, Risk, Legal, IT, and regional stakeholders to maintain high-quality master data that supports operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and informed decision-making. This role is critical to strengthening ERM's data foundations, enabling scalable business processes, improving data quality, and supporting the organization's data-driven transformation.

What will you bring?
5+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Stewardship, Data Quality, Data Operations, or Business Analysis roles.
Proven experience creating, maintaining, validating, and improving master data within enterprise systems.
Strong understanding of master data governance, data quality frameworks, business rules, hierarchies, and lifecycle management.
Experience gathering business requirements, documenting processes, and supporting system enhancement initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
Experience collaborating with global and cross-functional stakeholders in a complex business environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality and accurate work within established timelines.
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Excel, or similar enterprise platforms.
Preferred qualifications, skills & competencies
Experience within consulting, professional services, sustainability, engineering, or other global matrix organizations.
Exposure to enterprise Master Data Management (MDM), Data Governance, and Data Quality programs.
Experience supporting ERP, CRM, or MDM implementations, integrations, or system migrations.
Familiarity with automation technologies, workflow tools, and AI-enabled solutions.
Relevant certifications in Data Management, Business Analysis, Data Governance, Power BI, Microsoft technologies, or related disciplines.
Key responsibilities
Execute and maintain master data creation, updates, enrichment, hierarchy management, archival, and retirement activities.
Review, validate, and process master data requests in accordance with governance policies, business rules, and service level agreements.
Investigate and resolve data quality issues, duplicate records, ownership conflicts, hierarchy discrepancies, and data exceptions.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data needs, and support operational processes.
Maintain business rules, process documentation, standard operating procedures, data definitions, and metadata repositories.
Support data governance activities and ensure adherence to approved standards, controls, and stewardship practices.
Monitor data quality metrics, perform data profiling and analysis, and contribute to enterprise data cleansing initiatives.
Produce operational reports, dashboards, KPIs, and data quality insights using reporting and analytical tools.
Participate in user acceptance testing, system enhancements, workflow improvements, and data-related projects.
Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and data reliability.
Develop user documentation, support training activities, and assist stakeholders in adopting data management best practices.
Build strong working relationships across Commercial, Finance, HR, Risk, Legal, IT, and Enterprise Data teams to support business objectives.
