The Client Platform
The Client Platform is a global team focused on building and deepening relationships with prospects, clients, and consultants. Working closely with Wellington's investment professionals, the team helps clients navigate complex investment challenges, understand their unique objectives, and identify the investment strategies, portfolios, and solutions best suited to their needs. The platform includes professionals across business development, relationship management, and product management who support a diverse range of institutional investors, including public pension funds, central banks, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, retirement plan sponsors, and mutual fund sponsors.
About the Role
The Business Associate (BA) role is an exciting opportunity for graduating undergraduate students interested in exploring career paths within the investment management industry. Based in Boston and aligned with our Client Platform, this role provides exposure to our business, clients, and culture while helping Associates develop the skills needed to succeed in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Associates are placed on teams based on a combination of their skills, interests, and business needs. In their roles, Associates take on meaningful responsibilities, work closely with colleagues across the firm, and contribute to their team's priorities while building a strong foundation for their careers. We expect new Associates to join the firm in July 2027. Upon joining, Associates participate in Basecamp, our onboarding program designed to provide foundational knowledge of Wellington, our clients, the investment management industry, and our culture while helping new joiners build connections across the firm.
What You'll Do
As a Business Associate within the Client Platform, you may:
Assist with analytics, market research, and competitor analysis
Contribute to projects and initiatives that support the Client Platform's business objectives
Participate in cross-functional meetings and collaborate with colleagues across the firm
Support the qualification and coordination of Requests for Proposal (RFPs), partnering with colleagues across the firm to ensure timely and effective responses
Prepare presentation materials, briefing materials, and other collateral for prospect calls, client meetings, and business development opportunities
Coordinate follow-up actions from prospect and client meetings and respond to ad hoc requests, as needed
Maintain and update Salesforce to support client and prospect relationship management activities

Who Should Apply
Undergraduates from all majors graduating with a bachelor's degree between Fall 2026 and Summer 2027
Demonstrated interest in investment management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Demonstrated academic achievement
Proven leadership experience and participation in community service and extracurricular activities
Highest ethical standards and integrity
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize information
Highly motivated self-starter with intellectual curiosity, a strong work ethic, and professionalism
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Curious and adaptable, with experience in exploring and applying emerging technologies and AI tools to solve problems, improve how work gets done and support better decision making

The base salary range for this position is:
