About the role

As assistant to Sofia Tilbury, you will be by Sofia’s side to ensure she is camera ready and set to enjoy a best performance across all externally facing activities. In order to ensure Sofia’s complete readiness for such activities, you will be responsible for maintaining her beauty kit, Skin prep and make up, working alongside Sofia's team managing preparation planning & timings and anticipating any other ad hoc requirements.  

 This person is a spectacular makeup artist and beauty expert, you will go beyond beauty preparation for Sofia Tilbury to ensure operationally every activity runs smoothly. As a passionate creative, you will develop your appreciation for Sofia's creative content capture, as well as assist and influence Art Direction and support with Editing, under Sofia Tilbury’s and the Director of Art’s guidance.  

 A true brand advocate, you will demonstrate your tenacity, agility, digital (especially social) fluency and organisation skills, as you confidently drive meticulous preparation through all activities where Sofia is involved  

As Assistant Makeup Artist to Sofia Tilbury you will

• Ensure Sofia Tilbury is camera ready and set to enjoy a best performance across all externally facing activities: Shoots, VIP & Celebrity red carpet, on/offline appearances and events, Media and marketing activities, lives, masterclasses and content creation.  

• Be THE dedicated Makeup Artist, Assistant and Skin/Beauty Expert for Sofia Tilbury  

• Being by Sofia’s side at all times ensuring you are ready for any support needed. 

• Always making sure Sofia’s kit is fully set up and is social ready for campaigns, masterclasses, Fashion weeks, VIP appointments and more. This includes full pack down of Sofia’s kit. 

• Ensure preparation for every activity is meticulously planned and orchestrated flawlessly and on time, anticipating ad hoc requirements and mitigating risks   

• As your eye for the Sofia Tilbury aesthetic develops, you are responsible for her full kit , props, products, lighting, camera angles, as well as elements of art direction and editing support when required, under the guidance of Sofia Tilbury and the Director of Art.  

• Building key relationships within the team, specifically the Production team, to ensure you are prepared for upcoming activity 

• Effective communication your creative insight and best practice through the Artistry team from your support with Sofia Tilbury  

• Ensure all objectives are delivered and tasks completed inline with deadlines and the submission of content/ product info is shared at the end of production   

• Glean creative insight from Sofia, given your proximity and activity involvement and communicate regularly across the relevant areas of the business to support development opportunities   

• Inspire and mobilise Pro talent, sharing ‘always on’ feedback from Sofia to drive consistency across the globe to  

• ‘share the magic’ and to consistently foster an infectiously positive, ‘conquer the world’ spirit across the team  

• Assist Sofia during her time in NPD to ensure all objectives are met   

• Work with the Global Makeup assistant to always maintain and manage Sofia’s beauty kit, Keeping all brushes and tools clean at all times and ordering and updating makeup in the kit. 

• Organisation of Sofia's Kit & Glam room, ensuring all products are fully stocked and area is always tidy  

• Accompany on trips, on set and assist with VIPs when/where required   

• Manage Sofia Tilbury’s archive   

• Share the Magic with an infectiously positive and inspiring energy  

• Researching all current trending products and keeping on top of what’s in the market. 
• In the absence of supporting Sofia Tilbury, from time to time you will support the Global Pro artist team:  

• Collaborating with the Product Development, Marketing and the Creative Team in product research, development and artistry testing  

• Using your expertise and observations while working with Sofia Tilbury, propose and feedback on initiatives to support the development Artistry progression, ensuring that all levels of artists can refine their skills and prominence of artistry   

• Creation of content for your own and Charlotte’s channel   

• Support With all Global Pro kits, helping Global pro team make sure kits are Event ready. 

• Support the demand with VIP appointments inside and outside of territory

About you

• Exceptionally talented makeup artist and skin / beauty expert  

• Flair for the Sofia Tilbury aesthetic and brand look, feel and language   

• Strong affinity for product. Fast learner to develop rich product knowledge (product stories, features, benefits, ingredients, textures, results, applications etc.)  

• Creative content experience desirable including strong Social Media Skills, interest in Tiktok & Instagram trends  

• Exceptional relationship builder with strong communication skills  

• Highly pro-active and reactive, anticipates and actions contingency plans.  

• Sensitivity to and experience of working with high profile individuals & celebrities   

• Methodical, logical, attentive to detail, organised and calm under pressure  

• Works with pace, efficient and pro-actively in a team, with the ability to motivate others
