ART DIRECTOR

The Art Director is not a rookie designer, nor worse yet a poser, but a bonified agency tested AD. Our ideal candidate is the first person to offer up ideas and sketches, as well as the last to lay hands upon the finished art before it goes to review. They thrive in a world filled with self-expression and live to “tweak” a not-so-subtle PMS color, or “kern” a headline a writer just plunked down. Their experience in design creation is vast and they fully embrace what it means to be “the visual expert.” Knowing all the while what clients expect from their AD and delivering nothing short of visual genius across all marketing channels.
What you’ll do:
- Maintain a partnership approach with peers from all departments (e.g., Account Services, Brand Planning, Creative, Medical Strategy, etc.) on all our client’s business
- Participate in new business/client activities and pitches as requested
- Set and maintain high visual brand standards commensurate with Creative BU expectations
- Interact well with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics
- Basic understanding of wireframing, site mapping, UX design
- Any other duties as reasonably assigned; duties and responsibilities may be removed, modified, or added by leadership at any time as business or operations require

What you should have:
- Proven ability to think and design beyond campaign to help develop and drive creative solutions (multiple platforms) for client brands
- 5+ years' experience as an Art Director at an advertising or digital agency. Experience in Pharma or Health and Wellness marketing a plus
- Must present a portfolio of 10 pieces of your work that demonstrates both your conceptual and execution-based capabilities across all digital and print platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Advertising, Interactive or another Design-related program
- Visual Creativity, always curious, always ahead of the design trends, consistently utilizing new creative techniques from creative brief through deliverable
- Demonstrates a deep understanding in building design layout, visual hierarchy, typography, storyboarding and management of photographers, illustrators, directors
- Embraces all forms of design across multiple marketing channels and platforms (Digital & Traditional)
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (including XD, Premier), Microsoft Office
- Experience in Sketch, AXURE is a plus
Pay Range: $77,000-$90,000
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
