Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and technically driven BIM Trainees to join our Transportation BIM & Digital Engineering team. The selected candidates will receive structured training and hands-on project experience in Civil 3D, Autodesk Revit, BIM workflows, and digital delivery processes supporting major Highway, Rail, Bridge, and Infrastructure projects across the UK, Middle East, and other global regions.

The program is designed to develop future BIM professionals capable of supporting multidisciplinary project delivery, digital engineering workflows, and information management aligned with industry best practices.

Your role

• Technical & Project Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain BIM models using Autodesk Civil 3D and Revit under the guidance of senior engineers and BIM specialists.
  • Support the preparation of Highway, Rail, and Bridge BIM models and associated engineering deliverables.
  • Assist in the creation of:
    • Corridor Models
    • Alignments & Profiles
    • Cross Sections
    • Grading Models
    • Utility Models
    • Bridge and Structural Models
  • Generate drawings, schedules, quantities, and design outputs from BIM models.
  • Support model coordination and clash detection activities.
  • Participate in BIM model reviews and quality assurance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, naming conventions, and data management requirements.
  • Support Information Management and Common Data Environment (CDE) processes.
  • Assist project teams with design updates, revisions, and model maintenance.

  • Work closely with Highway, Rail, Bridge, BIM, and Digital Engineering teams.
  • Coordinate with engineers, BIM coordinators, and information managers.
  • Participate in project meetings and technical discussions.
  • Contribute to innovation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support knowledge-sharing and capability development within the team.

About you

• Recent Diploma in Civil Engineering graduate.
• Strong academic performance.
• Passion for BIM, Digital Engineering, and Infrastructure Projects.
• Willingness to work on global transportation projects.
• Basic understanding of Highway, Rail, or Bridge Engineering principles. 
• Strong interest in BIM, Digital Engineering, and technology-enabled design. 
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and CAD concepts. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. 
• Eagerness to learn new software and engineering workflows. 
• Preferred (Academic exposure to):
  • Civil 3D 
  • Revit 
  • AutoCAD 
  • Navisworks 
  • Bentley OpenRoads 
  • Knowledge of BIM concepts and workflows. 
  • Experience with college projects involving 3D modelling or infrastructure design. 
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Dynamo or Python.
