About the Team
The Marketing Intelligence team delivers valuable insights to our Marketing Leadership about the performance of our Marketing Initiatives from a traffic and competitive standpoint. The team delivers quality reports and analyses incorporating the deep understanding of Lowe’s customers, the home improvement market and the competitive landscape, and the value that our Marketing initiatives provide in driving traffic and sales across channels.
Job Summary:
The Analyst is a key member of the Marketing Intelligence team and supports traffic and competitive intelligence reporting and analysis for Marketing Leadership. This analytics-focused role will work with internal and third-party data sources to identify trends, understand drivers of performance, and translate data into clear, actionable insights. The Analyst will support recurring reporting and deep-dive analyses across Lowe's, competitors, markets, and geographies; perform data quality checks; and help connect business and external context to changes in traffic performance. The role will partner with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors and is expected to communicate findings clearly through well-structured analyses and presentations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities:
- Pull and organize data from internal reporting dashboards and third-party platforms to support traffic and competitive intelligence analyses.
- Perform data quality checks, identify missing or inconsistent data, and work with relevant partners to resolve issues.
- Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly traffic and competitive intelligence reporting for Marketing Leadership.
- Analyze traffic trends across Lowe's, competitors, markets, geographies, and time periods to identify meaningful performance drivers and opportunities.
- Incorporate relevant retail, competitive, seasonal, weather, and macro context to strengthen reporting and deep-dive analyses.
- Translate data into clear insights, concise commentary, and presentation-ready stories for stakeholders.
- Support quarterly business reviews and ad hoc deep dives by preparing analyses, validating findings, and identifying key takeaways.
- Validate external data sources and support ongoing coordination with third-party vendors on data quality, coverage, and methodology questions.
- Partner with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business questions and deliver accurate, timely analyses.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, data validation, and repeatable analytical processes.

Secondary Skills (desired)
- Experience in retail, consumer, marketing analytics, competitive intelligence, or a related analytical function.
- Familiarity with SQL and/or Python for data querying and analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with web or digital analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics is a plus.
- Basic statistical knowledge and an understanding of analytical methods used to identify trends and performance drivers.
