035253 Accounts Payable Clerk (Open)Job Description:
ROLE OVERVIEW: Under direct supervision, performs routine office support services, which may include answering telephones and preparing bills, statements, receipts, checks, or other documents, and/or transferring information from one record to another.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcomes and directs visitors and clients when necessary.
- Process daily accounts payable invoices accurately and timely.
- Review invoices for required information, including vendor name, invoice number, date, amount, purchase order, and supporting documentation.
- Enter invoices into the accounting/ERP system and maintain accurate invoice records.
- Process and reconcile overnight drop-off tickets, ensuring tickets are properly documented and entered for payment processing.
- Respond to routine vendor inquiries regarding invoice status, payment information, and documentation.
- Assist with month-end AP closing activities, including ensuring invoices are entered and supporting documentation is complete.
- Operates office machines including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, computer systems, and other standard office equipment.
- Answers phones, directs calls to appropriate colleagues, and prepares messages.
- Copies, sorts, and files records related to office activities, business transactions and other matters.
- Sorts incoming mail and delivers to the appropriate department or colleagues; processes outgoing mail.
- Maintains filing systems either manually or electronically.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Typically possesses a High School diploma (or equivalent) and 2-5 years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Good verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Good knowledge of basic office equipment (i.e., copiers, fax machines, calculators, etc.).
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems, such as recordkeeping and filing.
- Good attention to detail.

Compensation Range:
The pay range for this position is $21.88 - $37.26 annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between22.00 to25.00 annually. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.Benefits Statement:
