- Location: Somers, NY (school based)
- Hours: Hours vary based on school district (Ex: Mon - Fri 8am - 3pm) Daytime hours 25-32 hours per week
- Schedule: Follows the school district calendar, including holidays and breaks
- Compensation: $28-$31/hourly

Responsibilities:
- Respond to the goals, needs and requests of students and supervisors, on an individualized basis, and in a professional manner.
- Work closely with school personnel (e.g. classroom/ special teachers, TAs, school psychologist, social worker, behavior consultant, related service provider) to ensure the student’s success in the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with a behavior consultant and/or clinical supervisor to provide academic, behavioral, and social/emotional support to student with special needs
- Assist with classroom assignments under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- Implementation of behavior support plans or skill acquisition programs (data collection, progress reporting, CPI training and implementation)
- Help with daily living tasks, such as mobility, hygiene, and transitions.
- Escort the student to different locations (bathroom, cafeteria, therapy sessions).
- Maintain the confidentiality of information regarding students in accordance with State and Federal regulations
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Understand and demonstrate the company core values.
About You:

And this background:
- Minimum of 6 months working with children or adolescents with special needs in a supervised setting
- Minimum of High School Diploma required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education or related field preferred
- Experience with students with autism and/or maladaptive behaviors preferred
- Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind
- Bilingual is a plus
