Job Summary

Are you studying engineering and looking for hands-on experience in the automotive industry?

Join Flex's Automotive Value Engineering team and work on technologies that power the next generation of compute, control and power electronics solutions. You'll help identify innovative electronic solutions, optimize product designs, and support cost-effective improvements for systems such as battery management, inverters, DC/DC converters, and vehicle control units used by leading automotive brands worldwide.

What a typical day looks like:

As part of the Automotive VAVE team, you will contribute to initiatives that improve product value across power electronics used in leading automotive platforms. You will:

• Identify and evaluate alternative electronic components, materials, and technologies to improve competitiveness and supply chain resilience
• Analyze existing designs and develop optimization proposals to reduce cost, complexity, size, and manufacturing effort
• Support value engineering activities through technical, commercial, and risk assessments of proposed changes
• Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, quality, and manufacturing teams to validate and implement opportunities
• Help deliver sustainable product improvements while maintaining performance, quality, reliability, and customer requirements

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Currently studying Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Interest in compute and control systems, power electronics, and electric mobility
• Basic understanding of electronic components and circuits
• Analytical mindset and willingness to learn, as well as good English communication skills.
• Familiarity with schematics, datasheets, or PCB assemblies
• Curiosity and a hands-on approach to solving technical challenges
