PwC South East Asia Consulting partners with clients to address their most important and complex challenges. We bring together strategy, industry expertise, technology, operational transformation and people capabilities to help organisations move from ambition to execution and lasting results.

About the Team

The opportunity

This is a business-building leadership role at the intersection of strategy, technology and people. You will help shape the next chapter of our Workforce Transformation business, develop trusted relationships with senior clients, create distinctive propositions and lead complex transformation programmes from strategic ambition through implementation, adoption and sustained outcomes.

You will work across workforce redesign, skills, organisation and talent, culture and change, HR transformation and technology, people analytics and AI workforce effectiveness. Just as importantly, you will connect these disciplines to clients’ wider business, operating model and technology transformations.

We are building a consulting model that combines the strategic insight of an adviser, the execution discipline of an implementer and the accountability of a long-term transformation partner. If you want to build a market, lead exceptional people and take ownership of outcomes that matter, this role offers the platform to do so.

About Workforce Transformation

Our Workforce Transformation team helps clients reinvent how work gets done, how organisations operate and how people contribute to business value. We work with business leaders, boards, Chief Human Resources Officers and transformation executives to address questions such as:

  • How should work, roles and organisations change in an AI-enabled enterprise?

  • What skills and capabilities will the business need to execute its strategy?

  • How can organisations deliver the full value of technology and business transformation?

  • How should the HR function evolve to support a changing enterprise?

  • How can leaders create the culture, behaviours and employee experience required for transformation?

  • How can workforce investments be connected more directly to productivity, performance and business outcomes?

Our capabilities span workforce redesign, skills, organisation and talent, culture, leadership and change, HR transformation and technology, people analytics and AI workforce effectiveness.

Why this role, why now?

PwC South East Asia Consulting is strengthening its position as an end-to-end transformation partner for the region’s leading organisations. Our ambition is to advise with strategic insight, deliver with discipline and embed change so that clients realise sustainable outcomes.

Clients increasingly need support that connects people, process, technology, data and organisation decisions. They need partners who can help redesign work around AI, build future-critical skills, transform the HR function and mobilise the workforce behind enterprise-wide change.

As a Workforce Transformation Director, you will play a central role in capturing this opportunity. You will help shape our market position, develop propositions, build senior client relationships, lead major engagements and grow the next generation of consulting talent.

About the Role

Build the market

  • Shape a distinctive market position for Workforce Transformation in Singapore and across Southeast Asia.

  • Develop forward-looking perspectives on AI and the workforce, work redesign, skills, HR transformation, organisation, culture and change.

  • Translate market developments and client challenges into propositions that create measurable business value.

  • Build trusted relationships with C-suite executives, business leaders, Chief Human Resources Officers and transformation leaders.

  • Originate and convert complex consulting opportunities, including multidisciplinary and cross-border transformation programmes.

  • Strengthen PwC’s external presence through client forums, thought leadership, market perspectives and relevant professional networks.

Own client outcomes

  • Lead complex workforce and enterprise transformation engagements from strategy and design through implementation, adoption and sustained outcomes.

  • Help clients define clear transformation ambitions, outcome measures, roadmaps and delivery priorities.

  • Connect workforce interventions to clients’ strategic, operational, customer and financial objectives.

  • Advise senior leaders on the workforce implications of AI, technology, operating model and business model transformation.

  • Mobilise multidisciplinary PwC teams across strategy, technology, operations, industry and workforce capabilities.

  • Apply strong commercial and delivery judgement to manage scope, risk, quality, resources, timelines and engagement economics.

Build differentiated solutions

  • Create repeatable and scalable offerings that respond to clients’ evolving workforce and transformation needs.

  • Embed AI, data and technology into the way we diagnose challenges, design solutions and deliver engagements.

  • Develop methods, tools, accelerators, intellectual property and client assets that increase delivery quality and efficiency.

  • Help clients move beyond basic technology adoption towards meaningful workforce enablement, productivity and value realisation.

  • Design people-centric transformation strategies that connect AI ambition to work, roles, skills, governance, leadership and organisational change.

  • Collaborate with PwC’s regional and global network to bring relevant experience and capabilities to clients.

Build the business

  • Contribute to the strategic direction, growth and financial performance of the Workforce Transformation practice.

  • Take an active role in account planning, demand generation, pipeline development and opportunity conversion.

  • Demonstrate discipline in deal selection, pricing, contracting, resource deployment and margin management.

  • Build effective collaboration across PwC capabilities, markets and territories.

  • Identify opportunities to scale successful client work through repeatable propositions and reusable intellectual property.

  • Balance growth with delivery excellence, quality, risk management and sustainable profitability.

Build exceptional teams

  • Lead diverse, multidisciplinary and cross-border teams through complex transformation programmes.

  • Create an inclusive environment in which people can contribute, challenge, learn and perform at their best.

  • Coach and develop junior and senior colleagues, including the next generation of engagement and practice leaders.

  • Attract, retain and deploy talent in line with client needs and the strategic priorities of the practice.

  • Encourage collaboration, intellectual curiosity, commercial awareness and personal accountability.

  • Role-model PwC’s professional standards and commitment to quality, integrity and responsible business.

About You

The leader we are looking for

You are an established consulting leader who combines strategic thinking with the determination to deliver. You are comfortable shaping a board-level transformation agenda and equally committed to working with delivery teams to turn that agenda into practical results.

You connect workforce topics to the wider issues that matter to senior executives, including growth, productivity, customer outcomes, cost, risk, technology investment and organisational performance. You are intellectually curious about how AI and emerging technology are changing work and organisations, and you understand that sustainable value requires changes to work, roles, skills, leadership, governance, culture and the operating model.

You are motivated by building something larger than an individual portfolio. You share relationships and ideas, bring the best of the firm to clients and invest actively in the success of colleagues.

Your experience

  • A strong track record in consulting, workforce transformation, organisation transformation, HR transformation, change or a closely related field.

  • Experience originating, shaping and converting significant consulting opportunities.

  • Credibility and confidence working with C-suite executives, boards, Chief Human Resources Officers and senior transformation leaders.

  • Experience leading complex, multidisciplinary transformation programmes from strategy through execution and adoption.

  • The ability to connect workforce and organisational decisions to measurable business outcomes.

  • Strong knowledge across several relevant capabilities, such as workforce redesign, skills, HR transformation and technology, organisation design, talent, culture, leadership, change management or people analytics.

  • A clear perspective on how AI, data and technology are changing work, the workforce and the HR function.

  • Experience mobilising and leading diverse teams across capabilities, organisations or geographies.

  • Strong commercial judgement, including experience managing engagement economics, delivery risk, quality and profitability.

  • Experience developing consulting propositions, market perspectives, methodologies or intellectual property.

  • A demonstrable commitment to coaching others and building high-performing teams.

  • Excellent written, verbal and executive-level communication skills.

You will typically have 12 to 15 or more years of relevant experience, although the scale, progression and impact of your experience will be more important than tenure alone.

What success looks like

  • You are recognised by clients as a trusted adviser on their most important workforce and transformation challenges.

  • You create senior client conversations that lead to significant and sustainable transformation opportunities.

  • You lead engagements that deliver high-quality outcomes and generate lasting client relationships.

  • You strengthen PwC’s position in AI-enabled work redesign, skills transformation, HR transformation, organisation and change.

  • You build propositions and intellectual property that can be applied effectively across clients and markets.

  • You bring together multiple PwC capabilities to deliver integrated solutions.

  • You develop talented people who grow into broader and more senior leadership roles.

  • You contribute visibly to the growth, quality, collaboration and financial performance of the practice.

What you will find at PwC

  • A genuine opportunity to shape a priority consulting business and influence its market direction.

  • Access to leading organisations and complex transformation agendas across Singapore and Southeast Asia.

  • The ability to combine workforce expertise with PwC’s broader strategy, technology, operations, deals and industry capabilities.

  • A regional and global network through which to develop propositions, share intellectual property and bring relevant expertise to clients.

  • The opportunity to build an external market profile and contribute to important conversations about AI, skills and the future of work.

  • A team-oriented environment that values collaboration, responsible leadership, delivery excellence and end-to-end ownership.

  • The platform to build teams, create new client relationships and deliver work with visible and lasting impact.
