About this Workforce Data Coordinator role at Manulife
Provides Tier 1 HR administration support to employees in accordance with established organizational procedures, policies, and agreed service level standards. Supports the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from onboarding through employment changes and ongoing workforce administration to separation, while ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 HR administrative support to employees and stakeholders in accordance with established policies, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Process and maintain employee data and workforce transactions in HR systems following defined procedures and quality standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with data privacy, security, and confidentiality requirements when handling employee information.
- Perform accurate and timely data entry, validation, and maintenance activities with a strong focus on quality and productivity.
- Consistently achieve established service levels, productivity targets, and quality metrics.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of employee data across Workday, knowledge bases, and other HR service delivery systems.
- Ensure all transactions are properly documented, tracked, and completed within agreed turnaround times.
- Create, review, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps, work instructions, and knowledge articles while adhering to document management standards.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and employee experience.
- Maintain electronic and physical employee records in accordance with company, legal, and audit requirements.
- Conduct periodic audits and data integrity reviews within Workday and other HR systems, and resolve identified discrepancies.
- Support reporting, compliance, audit, and special project requirements as assigned.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, and business stakeholders to resolve workforce data and HR administration issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience using Workday or other Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), with knowledge of employee lifecycle transactions and workforce data management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, formulas, and data analysis.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Sound understanding of data integrity and governance principles, with the ability to assess the impact of data changes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with employees, business leaders, and HR stakeholders.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and a customer-focused approach.
