The Opportunity

As a Washington DC - DAT - Intern, you will engage in a dynamic learning environment, gaining exposure to PwC's practices and methodologies within our Assurance practice. You will support teams by participating in projects, conducting research, and performing basic tasks that contribute to the team's success. This role offers a unique opportunity to observe and learn from experienced professionals, enhancing your understanding of digital assurance and audit processes.

As an Intern, you will focus on developing your skills and gaining exposure to professional work environments. You will support teams by observing and participating in projects, applying a learning mindset, and taking ownership of your development. This role emphasizes the importance of appreciating diverse perspectives and actively listening to enhance your personal and professional growth.

In this role, you will have the chance to work on a variety of assignments, each presenting different challenges and scope. You are encouraged to ask questions, take initiative, and produce quality work that adds value for our clients and contributes to our team’s success. Responsibilities

- Supporting audit teams by participating in the execution of digital assurance tasks
- Observing and learning from experienced auditors to gain insights into financial reporting and compliance
- Assisting in the application of auditing methodologies to enhance the accuracy and reliability of assessments
- Engaging in basic research to support audit processes and decision-making
- Participating in the evaluation of internal controls and governance frameworks to promote transparency
- Collaborating with team members to understand and apply compliance and governance protocols
- Utilizing cloud engineering principles to support the development of efficient audit processes
- Contributing to the identification and analysis of potential risks within audit engagements
- Applying a learning mindset to develop personal skills and understanding of PwC practices
- Actively listening and asking questions to clarify tasks and enhance team collaboration

What You Must Have

- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, Information Technology
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment or the educational requirements for licensure as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Client service intern positions are considered entry-level roles. Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
