What We're Seeking
The Video & Motion Designer is responsible for creating engaging video and motion content across paid media, organic social, in-venue experiences, digital marketing, and internal communications. This role combines video editing, motion graphics, animation, and post-production expertise to bring creative concepts to life while maintaining Topgolf brand standards. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable assembling narrative-driven video content, creating motion graphics, and delivering platform-specific assets at a high volume and quality in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You Will Do
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble raw footage into polished, engaging videos following provided briefs and creative direction
- Manage the full post-production workflow, from media management and rough cuts through color correction, audio mixing, and final delivery
- Create original motion graphics, animated assets, and kinetic typography for marketing campaigns, social media, venue experiences, games, web, and app experiences
- Develop platform-specific video and motion executions—including 6-, 10-, 15-, and 30-second ads—for paid media, social, in-venue displays, digital channels, and OOH placements
- Collaborate with Creative Directors, Designers, Project Managers, Marketing partners, and external vendors to bring creative concepts to life
- Organize and maintain media libraries, project files, templates, and archived assets
Core Competencies for Success
Creative Storytelling & Video Production
Brings narrative instincts and technical craft to transform raw footage into polished, brand-aligned video content.
- Assembles raw footage into polished, engaging videos following provided briefs and creative direction.
- Develops storyboards, narrative-driven videos, sizzle reels, executive presentations, and internal communications content.
Post-Production & Technical Execution
Manages the full post-production pipeline with expert command of industry-standard editing and motion tools.
- Manages the full post-production workflow including media management, transcoding, assembly edits, rough cuts, fine cuts, color correction, audio mixing, and final delivery.
- Maintains expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with strong working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
Motion Graphics & Animation
Creates original animated content and motion graphic executions that elevate brand storytelling across channels.
- Creates original motion graphics, animated assets, and video content for marketing campaigns, social media, venue experiences, games, web, and app experiences.
- Incorporates kinetic typography, animated brand elements, and visual effects that elevate the overall creative experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partners closely with Creative and Marketing stakeholders to bring creative concepts to life while honoring brand standards.
- Collaborates closely with Creative Directors, Designers, Project Managers, Marketing partners, and external vendors.
- Implements concepts and visual direction from Creative leadership while ensuring alignment with Topgolf brand standards.
Organizational Rigor & Execution
Delivers high-volume, platform-specific assets on tight timelines without sacrificing quality.
- Organizes and maintains media libraries, project files, templates, and archived assets.
- Incorporates feedback efficiently through multiple rounds of revisions while maintaining project timelines and creative quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Video Production, Motion Design, Animation, Multimedia, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 3–5+ years of professional experience in video editing, motion design, or post-production within an in-house creative team, agency, production company, or marketing organization
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience with video editing workflows including media management, transcoding, compression, codecs, and platform-specific exports
- Experience creating motion graphics, kinetic typography, and animated social content
- Strong storytelling instincts with the ability to craft narrative-driven edits
- Highly organized with exceptional file management and project organization skills
- Effective time management with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to receive and implement creative feedback
Bonus Qualifications
- Knowledge of on-set production, including lighting, camera setup, and audio capture
- Experience with Blackmagic, Canon, and Sony camera systems
- Understanding of graphic design fundamentals and visual storytelling principles
- Experience with visual effects (VFX) and 3D animation tools such as Houdini, Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar software
