About the Role:
The Vendor Business Manager (VBM) - AI is the primary commercial owner and strategic partner for assigned technology vendors within Ingram Micro. In this role, you will own the end-to-end relationship, business strategy, and P&L performance for NVIDIA, WEKA, H2O.ai, and future AI vendors. You will drive growth, profitability, and market share by developing joint business plans, executing go-to-market strategies, enabling channel partners, and collaborating across internal teams. This position sits at the center of Ingram Micro’s AI portfolio and plays a critical role in positioning the company and its partners for success in the rapidly evolving AI market.
Your Responsibilities
As a commercially driven professional, you will take ownership of Ingram Micro’s AI vendor portfolio, building strong vendor and channel relationships to drive revenue, profitability and market growth.
- Own and grow strategic relationships with NVIDIA, WEKA, H2O.ai and future AI vendors
- Develop and execute joint business plans to drive revenue, profitability and market expansion
- Drive channel growth through partner acquisition, enablement, programs and go-to-market initiatives
- Manage pricing, rebates, promotions and commercial negotiations to maximise portfolio performance
- Own portfolio P&L, forecasting, pipeline and overall commercial performance
- Build strong relationships with vendors, resellers and internal sales teams to maximise opportunities
- Identify new market opportunities, complementary technologies and growth areas across the AI ecosystem
- Act as a key AI product and market expert, providing insights on trends, competition and customer opportunities
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Technical, Finance and Operations teams to deliver business objectives
What you'll bring:
- Proven track record of P&L ownership or strong commercial/financial accountability.
- Experience managing technology vendors (ideally infrastructure, data platforms, software, or AI-related). Direct experience with NVIDIA, storage/AI data platforms, or AI software vendors is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the AI technology ecosystem (compute, storage, networking, software platforms, and emerging solutions).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies and partner enablement programs.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills (including executive-level engagement).
- Analytical mindset with comfort using data for decision-making, forecasting, and performance management.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial, results-driven, and collaborative approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving market.
- Knowledge of AI infrastructure stacks, high-performance storage and enterprise AI software platforms.
- Experience onboarding new vendors or building emerging technology categories.
