Role Overview:
Based at the HVDC Centre of Excellence in Stafford, UK, the role gives an excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate to innovate, expand their technical skills and develop personally within an internationally recognised company in the renewables and grid sectors. The successful candidate will be part of a cohort of interns working within a 12-month development plan that allows them to stretch outside of their core academic background that prepares them for successful careers.
Responsibilities:
- Circuit simulation for design and testing
- Specification of key power electronics components
- Create design documents
- Undertake technical reviews of new technology
- Perform validation design-proving tests
- Work with the power electronics supply chain
The Person:
The successful candidate will ideally have completed 2 years of degree level study in a related field such as Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience and be predicted to obtain at least a 2:1 at Bachelors level, or equivalent knowledge or experience.
Needs to be eligible to work in the UK. No Visa support will be provided.
