  • Take ownership of engagement planning, budgeting, execution, quality and timely completion of deliverables.

  • Manage multiple engagements and priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.

  • Delegate and oversee workstreams across engagement teams, promoting efficient workflow and clear accountability.

  • Review work product, provide timely feedback and use coaching conversations to deepen team members’ expertise and support their professional growth.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, manage expectations and serve as a day-to-day client contact on compliance and advisory matters.

  • Partner with team leadership to maintain collective ownership of quality, timelines and deliverables, and uphold PwC’s professional and technical standards.

What you’ll bring

  • A bachelor’s degree with a specialisation in business, accounting, taxation, or a law degree from an accredited university.

  • A U.S. Certified Public Accountant designation, or admission to practise law in a U.S. jurisdiction, or an Enrolled Agent qualification, or an equivalent relevant U.S. tax certification. Candidates without a CPA or EA may be considered where they have strong, directly relevant U.S. tax experience.

  • A minimum of 5 years of extensive experience preparing and reviewing Form 1120-PC returns for property and casualty insurers, including Schedule M-3 reconciliations, ASC 740 income tax provisions and related U.S. federal income tax filings.

  • Strong technical knowledge of Subchapter L, loss reserve discounting, unearned premium reserves, captive insurance taxation and reinsurance arrangements.

  • Experience advising insurance and reinsurance clients on tax accounting and cross-border structures.

  • Knowledge of state and local tax obligations affecting insurance companies.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor and develop staff at different levels.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships and manage client expectations.
